My experiences in Avadh

Our college is affliated with the University of Lucknow and follows their curriculum. The syllabus was very structured and had everything from the basic to the fundemental rules. We had 6 semesters and exams after each. At the end of course we also had a comprehensive viva-voce.

There are many placement opportunities provided by the college career cell to us. The people running the placement cells try to get many companies to recruit our students. Many student, almost 50 percent were recruited.

For B Com i had to pay around 21,710 rupees per year, which i think was a reasonable amount as many colleges ask for amounts much more than that. In some cases the college offers scholarships to meritorious students in our course.

The college offers scholarships to students who are meritorious and are eligible to avail such scholarships. But the oeverall scholarships can be improved by the college as many people don't get a lot of access to the scholarships.

The college has many clubs you can join if you are interested. There are three complusory clubs and six to seven optional ones. They give you the option to work on our experiences before we pass out of college.

Admission was pretty simple and straightforward. I got the form from the university and applied after which i had to undergo an interview. They asked me about the marks i had received in my 12th standard.

The faculty in my course were very genuine and interesting. They help ypu clear your doubts and fix your curiousity. I enjoyed conversing with Ms. M. Shukla because she really helped with making me aware about my future options.
