Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is not so hectic. This gives us the space to learn at our own pace. The examinations are conducted by the end of each semester, i.e., twice each year. The knowledge we obtain here really helps us in the job environment.

Placement Experience

3.5

For the purpose of placement, we are made to attend several seminars and guest lectures. In addition to this, mock interviews and soft skill training are also conducted for us to tackle the interview in the corporate environment.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee amount is around Rs.2000 approximately. The tuition fee is to be paid to the administration during the start of every year. The examination fee is not included in this amount. It has to be paid separately.

Campus Life

3.5

Our college has active NSS units. There are four active NSS units consisting of 100 volunteers each. They have organised several social awareness programmes with the support of staff such as blood donation camps, college cleaning etc.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel facilities are made available by the management for both boys and girls. The hostel rooms have good ventilation, a bed, electrical fittings. The hostel fee comes around 2000 rupees for a sharing room.

Admission

I pursued B.Com from Vivekananda Mission Mahavidyalaya. Based on the 12th board examination percentage the seats are allocated. I had submitted many documents for verification before getting admission.

Faculty

3.5

Both teaching and non-teaching staff in our college are qualified and are very supportive of the students. The professors adopt new teaching strategies in the classroom for us to learn in an interesting environment.

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.
