Remarks

Nil I don?t have any bad remarks about the college. I?m happy here and am happy that I chose this college and got a seat for a certain course that I had opted for along with feasible fee. Which is all that i looked for.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum and course structure is not that rigid as compared to other colleges and the breakup of the courses are done accordingly in order to not pressure to the students into anything. Hence why I think it is good.

Placement Experience

The placements are pretty good is what I have heard. I don?t really know much about the placements here in this college. All that I have heard from seniors is that a lot of good companies come here to pick good students.

College Events

Our college has festivals conducted for separate fields such as commerce humanities and science. So that the students have take advantage and participate to learn more. It is a good opportunity for the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very feasible and depended form course to course. Since I have chosen B.A the fee is really less. Oh t is only 2,620 per year. For different courses the fee may vary up to a few thousands.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes our college does offer scholarships to the students. As soon as you join the college it is better to inquire about the scholarships in case you are planning to get one. It is always better to check out the details and get a scholarship if you are eligible.

Campus Life

extra curricular activities are held here. It is made a point that every sem at least one or two activities will be conducted to keep the students engaged in something else other than studying for once.

Hostel Facilities

No I have chosen to stay in a hostel. It is more convenient and better. I share the hostel with 2 other people and pay a rent if 45000 per annum along with mess which comes up to another 2,500. The stay is very comfortable here.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is something which I haven?t gotten my fingers around yet. I have no senior friends as such so I don?t have much knowledge about the alumni network or the seniors as a matter of fact.

Admission

To secure an admission in this college the students must complete 10 and 12 grade with good grades from a reputed board. Then the selection is done based on the marks which is attained through e-counselling.

Faculty

The college faculty is very well educated and helps us in every way possible. They are always there with us everywhere. The teachers do a very good job in teaching us students and making sure that we understand the concepts well.

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

Placement Experience:

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

The placement record in my college is preety good. 80-90% students are already placed this year. Average package is around 9.5lpa. Companies like ICICI, KPMG, PWC, Vedanta, Mother Dairy and so many are coming for recuiting students.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

Placement Experience:

from 7th semester (for btech students), 9th semester (for dual degree students) students are eligible for campus placements. there are numerous companies which visit the campus...and generally nearly all students get placed during the placement season, but recently there has been recession and companies are not taking less number of the students than they usually do.

Kaliyanganj College is one of the largest colleges in Kaligganj in the North Dinajpur district of West Bengal. The college, affiliated with the University of Gaur Banga, offers undergraduate courses. It is approved with NAAC B ++.
