Remarks

The college really is a good place to develop your educational skills . It doesn't put any burden on the students . What matters to the college is the development of the students . The campus is very good and infrastructure is good too. We have NSS and NCC too in our college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The college is centrally affiliated to University of Calcutta and all the functioning is done by University of Calcutta. The course structure is very well designed and offers holistic development of the students .The course curriculum includes practicals as an integral part.

Placement Experience

Being a normal degree college it does not offer any placement and internships to the students . We often have workshops on industry courses and on skill development too. Mostly students plan to go for their post graduation in my college and most of our college seniors have proven it so far .

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college fees is very feasible . It will cost you around 2000 INR per year for Bachelor in Commerce . For all other courses also the fees is very feasible . College also provide facilities like e-Library amd a cyber library to the students .

Campus Life

The college organizes inter school sports competitions for football , basketball and other indoor and outdoor games. Apart from this the college conducts Mega Sports event which continues for 3 days . The cultural activities are just a part of our curriculum . We have our own college magazine . The college environment is really cool and all the students are very friendly to each other.

Admission

The college offers admission to the students on the basis of marks obtained in class 12th examination . A merit list is prepared on the basis of which different courses are alloted to the students . For online application you can visit official college website .

Faculty

The faculty of my college consist of experienced teacher who have done PhD and young teachers who have just passed out of their college. Young teachers are enthusiastic and provide industry based knowledge to students which is really very helpful. Our HOD is very friendly towards us and trust me he is one of the nicest person I have seen. The teaching pattern which our teacher uses is very interesting .

Placement Experience:

From Third semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies like P360, EY, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Neutanix, BinaryWorks and few more visited our college for placements and mostly 15 to 20 offers were made Highest package was around 5 to 6 lpa 50% students were placed I am now preparing for govt jobs and side by side also applying for offcampuses. I have also given CUET for pursuing M. Tech

The hustles and joys of a college life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had chosen this course because of the Media and the lab facility, and my desire to understand the entire course in journalism and mass communication. The course that I took gave a bit more theoretical aspects rather than the practical ones. The practical ones were a bit less compared to theory ones. The areas I would suggest for improvement would be to encourage more assignments and provide more internship facilities to the students. The frequency of the exams for me was okay, and it was moderate, not difficult.

Placement Experience:

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Goenka College, City College, Gour Mohan Sachin Mandal Mahavidyalaya (My Current College) etc., I applied for Admission but I only get a confirmed admission form Gour Mohan Sachin Mandal Mahavidyalaya. Because it is last option to Studies about Financial Accountancy. Rejected reason is my less marks in 12th Exams, I got 76% but if I want to get admission there, I have to Score more than 80%. Admission process is, first I have to do apply in College portal for Admission with their specific course and Subjects. Eligibility is, you have a student of 12th Board Exams and the certificate of 12th Board Exam. There is no entrance exams, you just need to see the check-list after you applied for admission.
