Fun and learning at GMSMM

Life was all fun in our college. Students learned, played and enjoyed simultaneously. The main highlights of the college are the teaching faculty and low fees. Anything the college may improve is the infrastructure, as it is a very old built college.

The course curriculum is quite advanced. Every time any major change in the commerce field takes place, it's added to the course, so that the students always remain updated with the true business world. The exams take place once in a year according to the schedule of University of Calcutta. Regular internals also take place in the college itself.

Our college has a career counselling cell to help students be future ready. They provide us with resources to prepare for further studies and competitive exams. They also help us in personality grooming and interview training, so that the students are ready to take part in job interviews.

The fee structure of this college is probably the cheapest in the entire country. Getting graduate for just Rs. 5885 is something one could never imagine. For first year, they charged us Rs. 2215, which included admission and registration fees. In the second and third year, it was just Rs. 1835 for each year respectively.

Sports, stage play, NSS, NCC etc are just some of the extra curricular activities that are college students actively take part in. Apart from that, we also have science lab for B.sc students, where they conducted different experiments. Most of the students in our college come from economically weaker sections, so no discrimination on any basis as such are witnessed in college.

Being a commerce student my choice of course was obvious. Getting into GMSMM was a dream come true. All thanks to my good grades in 10+2, that helped be crack the merit list with ease. Once I got into the merit list, I just needed to verify my documents to get into the college.

The faculty is probably the highlight of this college. Every teacher makes sure that students not just learn but understand the subject from their heart. All of them are pretty regular to classes, even if some teacher is absent, her lecture is replaced by some other professor, so that students time doesn't get waste.
