Remarks

This college is best in the state for the course BSC In Biotechnology. The teaching staff is very qualified and good infrastructure and the best equipment available in laboratories for experiments. If you are from any tire 2 or tire 3 cities then you have to spend time getting used to for the environment. The admission process is quite simple. First, they conduct one entrance test, and based on the resulting spot admission process is conducted. As I belong from tire 2 city like Wardha, it was a dream for me to study in Pune. And I was interested in the biology field from the future aspect. I found all information about the college and university from their website. As a boy, they offer one year of Hostel accommodation and mess facility. The best thing I liked about the hostel is that there are very strict rules against ragging in the premise.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

As I mentioned earlier, the teaching staff is highly qualified. Every professor is a Master's or Ph.D. holder in the college. Every class has a limit of 60 students and an expected 1 teacher available for 40-50 students which is quite a good faculty ration. Other than that non-teaching faculty is very supportive and helpful. The college has its own Library and an Auditorium. The teaching method depends on the teacher and their experience, but I have seen some good teachers which will make you grow your interest in their specific subject. Bharti Vidyapeeth is a deemed university and the Course curriculum was semester pattern. There were two timely unit-test in mid-semester and one final Semester exams and its difficulty level were quite high. Besides that, there were guest lectures every Saturday which focus on the career and future demands of the course.

Internships Opportunities

3

Yes, the college offers internship opportunities for BSc students as well as MSc students. BSc students can work as assistance for Ph.D. Students. Other than that they offer various internship opportunities with the campus visiting every year in summers.

Placement Experience

3

Students become eligible from the 5th semester for the campus placement. The campus offers placements with a 2-3 lakh package. Other than that, you can apply else like the food industry, Junior scientists at Laboratories and also in Pharma industries and many more, You can conduct your own research, helped by and supported by the campus itself. Campus conducts Ph.D. programs and lab assistance. You can also become a Professor and enjoy your career right after the studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

I was a student at the college from 2015 to 2018. And the fees for the course were ?65,000 per year. The campus offers various courses and the fees depend on the type of course you choose. For e.g. ?65,000/year for BSc and about ?95,000/year for an MSc course. As I belong to SC category but there is no quota admission belongs to the college. All you get select by your merit and as I discussed earlier admission process was also by spot process. Thus, there were no scholarship criteria even for SC or ST students. College accepts the student's loan and can help you regarding the approving and the loan. Many students belong to the campus by accepting loans. College offers you campus jobs with the stipend of 2-3 lakh package. College also has Ph.D. programs for further research.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is worth it. One can never forget their college campus experience and those days. Every year 2 parties are conducted and they are 1) Freshers party and 2) Farewell party. Besides that, there were some sports fests and competitions such as Poster making and cultural fests. They are conducted in the month of February, July, and December. All books required are available in the Library which is located inside the college. Besides that teachers provides you notes regarding the syllabus. Classrooms are quiet normal and airy, available with projector and screen to study. There was a separate department for sports and can provide every required equipment for sport and games. University conducts sports meet once every year with competitions and games inter-college. After that convocations ceremony is conducted in the month of January.

Interview Experience

4

There was an entrance test respective to your field and based on the merit you can get selected in the limited seats of 60 students per batch. The entrance test depends on the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Maths Questions. Then you have to submit some normal documents just like 10-12th mark sheets and leaving certificates. The admission process is quite simple and based on the spot admission. I got every detail regarding the admission, test, and its syllabus from the college website itself. Even they offer you to submit your online application for the admission and provide you a necessary notification so that you can prepare for your round. Admission process, Documents required, Fees Structure and Test details & syllabus are mentioned clearly on the website.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Strong academic legacy with expereinced faculties and balanced content- preparing you for future studies and entrance exams and olympiads. very much strict, i would say not needed. somehwere you may experience baised behaviour; but when you are focused on gaining knowledge then these things dont matter as its only a matter of three years. Relevance of course is there but for applying for further studies not for that much for job prospects, if you want atleast a decent salary job.

Placement Experience:

The Placement Cell is responsible for the placement process. It is not very streamlined. Getting a job is considered tough, usually, the student has to search for it themselves. The average package offered is about 4 Lakhs which is okayish. Usually, students go for masters in Europe which is one of the best options. About 40 people apply for placements out of 180 students and out of that about 20-30 get placed.
