Chowgule college is fine

Chowgule college is one of the most renowned colleges of Goa. It has a beautiful campus. A big enough campus actually. It also has a Mini cafe, coffee day, where All students like to sit during the free time. We also have huge canteen plus a multipurpose ground and also a huge football ground. Now coming to the specializations in BSc. In this college we have specializations like Bsc in botany ,zoology ,geology ,maths, chemistry ,literature and physics. Apart from this we have two auditoriums where we have conference's. The admission process is a bit hectic because you need to do a bit off paper work before getting into the college. They will make you take several rounds back-and-forth for some papers that you need for admissions. I prefer this college mostly due to the campus and the various specializations. I chose this course because computer science has a huge scope and also it is the future. There are enough teachers for each subject in each specializations and also teach good.There are around 40 60 students in each class. The faculties are well qualified with post graduate degree and majority are working for almost 20 25 years. They have a good experience. They teach with examples and give home work after each class. Term exams came in 3 months.Passing was all dependent on the subjects.Sometimes it was very tough and sometimes good. Also some teachers give you fine marks, but some give you tough time in giving marks and passing.

Internships are offered on campus for various departments. I AM NOT SURE ABOUT THE STIPEND IT SHOULD BE 7 TO 15K. Projects for college website or teaching or non teaching sections.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the half of the second year.Or if the student is bright enough he/she will be given an early opportunity. We had company's like Greenleaf, app developers etc which I cannot remember much. 50% students get placements. I have plans for app development or social media executive.

The fee increases as the years pass by.For example if you are in First year you will have 20k that's what we had for computer science now the other departments differ like chemistry will have different so in second year it increases by 22 or 23k. They include the tuition fee,lab fee. I did not take any financial assistance neither did I get any scholarship. I haven't been for jobs in chowgules. But they do offer a good amount and the stipend is given per hour work.Example 20 or 50 rs per hour like that.

We have different fests depending on the different department like for our department that is computer science we have irixs in December every year Where we keep different coding competitions games and many more activities. Similarly the other departments also have their events like literature department has Shakespeare event and so on with the others. Every year we also have a huge college event called Tathastu which is done by our entire college and it is a very entertaining and big event we also have dj nights on that day.This event occurs in Feb for 3 days 17,18,19. You won't find your match in the library.It dosen't have a good collection.But you can go to the COOP i.e our college store for journal and books. We have smart learning in a classrooms we are thought with the projector's. We have various extras curriculum activities like football, cricket, tables tennis, badminton ,squash,basketball. And also talent shows. Social club on Instagram called chowgule sports.
