Somaiya holds a reputable place among the academic institutes of India. The curriculum is very student-friendly. Teaching and non-teaching staff are equally great. The campus is so vast you feel like never leaving. The admission process is relatively simpler compared to other colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was always interested in studying zoology as it intrigued me. The faculty of the department is extremely helpful and qualified. They always try to include new teaching methods to engage the students. They use projectors, seminars, etc. to make learning fun. There are enough members in faculty to accommodate the requirements of all students. Exams are conducted with proper prior notice and you can pass easily if you pay attention in classes.
Placement Experience
Campus placements are available only in some faculties in the last year of your degree. However placement seminar are constantly conducted to help the students. Higher education is a better option to get placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course is very affordable. Fee per year is somewhere near 10000. There is financial aid available for those below poverty line and in minority.
Campus Life
There are many annuals fests conducted by various faculties. Most fests are conducted between November to January. There is Symphony, Asmita, Zorilla and many more. The classroom are spacious with good seating arrangements. There is a myriad of sports and extracurricular activities in the campus. From cricket to basketball to squash, you name it and it can be learned. Cultural forum looks after the activities conducted in the campus. All reference books are available in the library and available to you at the swipe of your college ID.
