Remarks

Good, mostly they will help you with things. Sometimes you might complain but it’s manageable.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

This college is good for MBBS, although the clinical exposure is not great but patient load is good. You can learn sufficiently as a UG student. After becoming a doctor you don’t need to worry for placement. There are plenty of jobs available even after UG.

Placement Experience

4.5

1 year compulsory internship is done from the hospital itself and after that you can join the hospital as a resident or you can also join other hospitals.

College Events

3

2 college fest are there. One is synapse in the moth of December and another is SP in February. The feats are the only time when you can enjoy irrespective of your academic burdens! Fests are organized by students themselves. It’s not very grand but you’ll surely enjoy it.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fairly inexpensive. It’s about 18000/ annum including hostel fees, being a government medical college the fees is minimal and you don’t need to worry about it as even few scholarship schemes are also there for poor students. So you can easily afford it.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are given by the government to poor students and those having category certificates with them.

Campus Life

3

The campus life is good. You would get to play sports and there is common rooms for boys and girls to play indoor games. People are fairly tolerant towards the diversities but there are a few practices which you may not like after entering the college.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Yes. Rooms are good. The hostel is a bit old but you won’t face any difficulty over there. Private messes are operated inside the hostel and the food given is average. You won’t complain much about these.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are helpful. In medical colleges seniors are very important as they help you out with a number of things. Here seniors and friendly after first few months of your colleges life.

Admission

I got admission through JCECE ( Jharkhand combined entrance competitive examination ). These days admission is taken by NEET-UG examination. The courses offered are Medical and Paramedical. After exam counselling for medical colleges in Jharkhand in held in Ranchi and according to the merit list, the colleges are allotted.

Faculty

4

The faculty is more or less good. You will have to put on your own extra efforts if you want to learn things. The concept is simple, Go for clinical postings as much as you can for learning and discuss the case with seniors/doctors. There are plenty of cases in ward.

MBBS is all about learning and exploring . Only choose this profession when you have a will to help others otherwise it would be a difficult course for you. The passing marks of examination is 50 and for that you need to study hard.

Mbbs is a long duration course of about 5.5 years in which there is 1 year of compulsory internship.being a doctor is the noble profession and gives you huge respect and that's why i choose this course, this was me and my parents dream as well.this curriculum prepares you to face upcoming challenges that you have to face as a doctor.i think practical work should be more instead of just bookish knowledge.there is 3 terminals in a regular interval of 3 months and then final exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

-The MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) program is a highly sought-after degree that prepares students for a career in medicine. A key aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course is its emphasis on integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application. The inclusion of subjects such as anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and pathology provides a strong foundation for understanding the human body and its functions. Furthermore, the clinical rotations and internships allow students to interact directly with patients, giving invaluable hands-on experience. The curriculum is well-structured to equip students for real-world medical practice and further academic pursuits. Clinical postings in hospitals and exposure to different medical specialties enhance problem-solving and decision-making skills. The focus on research methodology also lays the groundwork for those interested in pursuing postgraduate studies or contributing to medical advancements. However, there are areas where the MBBS curriculum could improve. For instance, introducing more interactive teaching methods, such as case-based discussions and simulation labs, would better prepare students for complex clinical scenarios. Additionally, integrating modules on soft skills, such as communication and empathy, could enhance patient care. Exams are frequent, usually held at the end of each semester, with assessments ranging from theory papers to practical exams. While challenging, they are crucial for assessing a student’s knowledge and clinical aptitude. However, spreading out exams and providing more time for preparation could reduce stress and improve performance, ensuring a better learning experience overall. Cons are course length and also the difficulty level.
