Remarks

The college is very good. One of the best college in the state.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The previous chapter describes seven principles that support learning with understanding. This chapter explores the implications of those principles for the intentional and systemic design of four key elements of the educational system—curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional development—to promote learning with understanding within the context of advanced study. It is critical to recognize that programs for advanced study share many of the objectives of other programs in the same discipline; these design principles, therefore, also apply to the design and development of mathematics and science courses at all levels.

Placement Experience

4.5

In these placements, college invites several companies to their campuses to recruit students studying in that college. After analyzing different skills being taught by the college and the CV, company sets some criteria to qualify in several rounds and finally get a job in that company. Students who fulfil all the criteria and qualify in each and every round get selected.

Fee Structure And Facilities

On the other hand my friend's family earns 15L per year and he has two younger sisters. After deducting his and his sisters fee (including his accommodation and overhead expenses) the family would be left with around 4. 4L. His father also took a loan recently for a car so that amount should also be deducted and I guess that the family of five will be left with 3. 4L (approximately). Now for that family the college is really expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

Along with growing awareness about the importance of education to succeed in the knowledge economy, the cost of quality education too is growing fast. Parents too are willing to bear that extra cost to fund their child's higher education. Education loan is the most cost effective means to fund your education if you are unable to get a full scholarship or do not have a generous aunt or uncle willing to sponsor your education. Though most banks do provide education loan, it is the public sector banks that are in the forefront in providing education loans. In recent years, a large number of students, especially those pursuing professional courses in India or abroad, are availing of education loans.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

A college hostel has a lot of benefits. News about what is going on in college, hostel and even outside spreads very quickly. You get assignments very easily. No need to do assignments and write ups on your own. During exams, especially practical exams, group study can be done, which is very helpful. If our have any doubt, you can go to your batch mate anytime. Though all of the above mentioned is only possible if a lot of your batch mates are living in college hostel. I have not opted hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

Creating an engaged, supportive alumni network is crucial to an institution’s success. If communication stops once graduates leave an institution, their understanding of the university will become stale. Instead, they should be kept informed so they can remain engaged and keep abreast on the progress of the university. Good alumni relationships bring many benefits to both the institution and the alumni. Here we speak to HE professionals who work in Alumni Relations about the benefits of maintaining an engaged alumni network and how the market is changing.

Admission

The feeling is awesome, cant descibe in words, I had set a target before going to exam and I nailed aand knew I would definetly get into my college of choice. and now I m here enjoying my life in my dream college and looking for great future ahead. when u get admsn to ur dream college, u get motivated to keep working in future and at any point of time u dont feel why I did this or why did I come here and u enjoy ur college life.

Faculty

4.5

Teacher quality includes ability to deliver sound content with ease of understanding by students. In addition to using students to measure teacher performance, a senior and experienced person in the area being evaluated can be used and usually external evaluator or blind evaluation is best. Using the peers who are in same college or faculty could be sentimental.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course is very rich and varied for someone from commerce background . There are a lot of subjects for students which students study in various semesters . There's even EVS in the curriculum which is wierd but also great . I feel the curriculum is a lot based on the real life there are topics related to computerised accounting, e businesses , virtual reality , augmented reality , stock markets etc etc . which are ig very necessary for today's world . Since I am just in my 1st semester I don't think I can say a lot about the improvements that can be made but I feel the curriculum can also include a little about AI as it's the burning topic of today's world . If there's a subject like EVS for commerce then I feel even an AI subject will not pose much difficulty or chaos among the students . Exams are very regular . I just had my sessional exams in October and now I am preparing for my finals which are in December

This is an integrated course where i will be getting a masters degree after completing 5 years. Only tezpur university provides this course other than GU. The curriculum prepares students mainly to pursue careers in academic fields and research fields. More practical aspects can be added to provide a holistic knowledge to the students. The exams are very well planed.

Nothing influenced my decision to choose this course. I just wanted to choose this course for fun, to be honest. the curriculum rarely prepares us for real-world applications or further academic pursuits but whenever it does it would be very beneficial for the students. Held frequent inspections in the college so that they can improve themselves and the teaching method should be in a friendly and more comprehensive way. The exam timings are perfect along with the perspective of their difficulty level.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, nothing specific has influenced me in the decision to choose this course that is BCOM as most of these student after passing shoes, so I also opt to BCOM. Well, the curriculum does not fully prepare the students for real world applications or further academic pursuits. They does not provide any practical knowledge or any kind of internship to the students for the real world. Well, according to me, they should provide some internship or something related to practical knowledge. This improvements are very necessary. The frequency and timing of exams is very low like within four months the university tries to complete the whole semester, and it's very hard to complete the whole syllabus within just four months.
