Remarks

Overall my college experience was very good. Except few exceptions teaching is good. Food facility in hostel campus can be improved.

I took MSCET Score 121/150,I opt this college by hearing very good reviews of Placement and quality of study.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is designed very well to cover all the essential and basic things needed as a professional in IT Industry. Elective for 7th semester ANN (Artificial Neural Network) and for 8th semester is Intelligent System.

Internships Opportunities

At our time no company has came for providing us internship in IT course we have to search the company by our own so there is no question about stipend.

Placement Experience

Placement of this college is awesome TCS,Cognizent,Infosys,Patni and many other reputed companies come for campus interview. They offer in between 2 to 5 lakhs annum.

Witchar' is a technical event in which has national level events as Paper Presentation,Project Presentation,Robo Race,Poster Presentation etc.'Utsav' is a cultural event haveing Dance,Drama,Singing ets.' Strokes' is a sports event haveing Cricket,Volleyball,football,Basketball,Carom,Chess ets. All these events are very big and almost each student participate in them.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees was feasible at our time. It is as per government norms. Total fees for first year engineering in 2006 was 40000. It kept increasing through out 4 yeas and in 2010 it was 55000.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know much about Scholarship. Education loan facility was available which should be paid by student after his Education completion.

Campus Life

The life in this college is awesome no one can forget these 4 years. There are many competitions arranged every year as Paper Presentation,Robotics,Debates,Project Presentation and all these are National Level. There is a big sports event 'Strokes' 4 days every year.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel Facility was good. There are 3 hostel buildings. There are approximately 180 rooms. Solar Water heater facility is available. There are 2 mess inside hostel campus. The food quality is not as good as needed.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Exam Structure

We have one Mid Semester exam in each Semester and then final Exam. So no hectic Exams and lab schedule.

Faculty

The faculty was very mature in there subjects they know how to deliever it in front of students so they can grasp it quickly but of course there are some exceptions.

placements start in 7th - 8th semester . Companies like wipro cisco and TCs etc visit. Average package is 4-5 LPA , and highest I could say 9 to 10 LPA .. my plans would be- if not got high paying job on campus I will try off campus too..

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus.
