Memorable

Course is BE in Comp Science, I took up this course because I was interested in the subject and wanted to graduate in this stream.

It is 8 semesters of 4 years in Visveswaraiah Technological University. My electives were Operating system, Logic design, Operational Research, Graphic design covering a project and a presentation.

We didn't have any internship experience during our tenure. There was no stipend paid as our batch was the first one to pass out of the college. This might have got better now with later year batches.

Placements were not too good for our batch being the first one, we barely had one company opportunity that could be attended. It was a difficult ride to get placed as there were not much through campus recruitments

We were allowed to participate in E TV show (Kannada). Annual days were held every year. During final year, Farewell was celebrated in a grand manner. There was also a Technical seminar that we attended for 3 days.

Fee structure is very feasible as mine was a free seat so not very expensive. Its yearly basis fees to be paid. These are approximate figures which is below1st year: 150002nd year: 120003rd year: 120004th year: 17000

No such scholarship or loan facility was offered to us. I had applied for scholarship somewhere else for which college supported me with the required documents.

Campus life was ok. Library range should be increased. Sports, robotics and debates were not too much during my batch. Even Cultural events should be conducted which helps students apart from academics

We didn't have any hostel accommodation from our college. And even no mess food was provided. We had canteen in our college which was reasonable enough for students.

Exams and Labs were quite smooth with out much of hassles. All the labs were well equipped and maintained very well. Its only Electrical labs which I took up externally as it needed additional efforts from my side.

Faculty was good except for few subjects. Maths faculty and Operating system were very good, Lab facilities should be improved a lot and rigorous practical should be mandated to students rather than taking up external tuitions.
