Remarks

College office could be managed better. A lot of University work has to be done by the students itself which could be managed better by office staff. otherwise college management and courses are conducted in a professional manner.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Curriculum is based on Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR medical University. Each year includes three to four subjects that we have to clear examinations anually to graduate to the next year. Examinations include theory papers and Viva voce which we have to clear seperately. The curriculum is basic and followed throughout the country.

Placement Experience

5

Does not do placements.once u graduate we have to find our own institution to work in.internship is part of the course

College Events

5

Annually there is a college function along with many other departmental functions and learning courses and events. Events bring together a lot of students and staff from all over the country and especially nearby states. Competitions are usually sponsored by large companies and the state itself.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Comes to around 5000-10000rs anually for the course fees.paid a stipend during internship. Books and accommodation with food charges extra. Food is mainly South Indian with occasional North Indian dishes according to demand. Quality of food is good and it's a buffet system.

Fees and Financial Aid

You can avail scholarship through all India or state.provides around 12000rs anually to awardees. The course fees is manageable even without scholarship since it's low compared to most other institutions int eh country

Campus Life

5

Campus is diverse.people from all over the country come to get a chance to study here.there are adequate competitions and academic events conducted at the institution where a lot of people all over the country participate. Gender ratios are usually 50-50. Campus life is one of the best in the county with adequate field trips and all India tours.

Hostel Facilities

4

Yes. Hostel rooms are good.usually on twin sharing basis.the hostel mess is also good.nice food and variety. Area is good and peaceful for studying and recreation. Fees are low.mess fees is also average.feasible for everyone

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are always helpful with study materials and teaching skills. Alumni gather once a year and during special events bringing together a cultural experience.

Admission

I got in thru AIPMT.admissions are conducted annually through NEET entrance now. We have to qualify in the top 500 in the country to get a seat in this college. Unless you have a reservation, for ug and pg courses, you have to be in the top ranks to secure a seat here. I opted for the course because it was my lifelong dream to be a doctor in the medical profession.

Faculty

5

Some of the best in the country. Each department includes faculty members who are some of the best in the country. Are staff are very helpful and academics are some of the best. Skill oriented and on hand workshops are conducted throughout the year to help students gain clinical acumen.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It deals with patient care and clinical diagnosis along with hands on training the influenced my decision to take up this course. Through ward postings, history taking and case discussion it prepares me well for my PG exams and further future pursuits. Skill based learning should be emphasised more along with small group teaching. Sometimes the close spacing of exams can be very stressful. Difficulty level is appropriate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is very challenging obviously as we're studying to become doctors. it could've been better by increasing the duration of the course. our first year/ semester instead of it being for 12 months was only of 9-10 months so our portions are being pushed a little. it happened due the scam etc around neet and our course start date was pushed. the course could be made easier by increasing the duration of the course. we have exams every week which does make it easier to keep up with the portions but makes it too stressful for us. maybe instead of keeping exams on monday they could change it to saturday so we can relax and be free on sundays.

Placement Experience:

The students in their internship will get around 35000 per month excluding their mess fees, they have the option to opt out of the mess. And once they finish their internship they had to do two years bond in places where the colleges allot them and the salary for those two years will be decided by the place the person goes and itll be definitely more than what they get during internship.
