Remarks
The teaching faculty is still good but the management is worst. All local staff non educated always speaking in marathi.
Course Curriculum Overview
As we all know education system in India only trains you through knowledge and not throught experience. Same is applied here lots of assignment, seminars, projects which will only train you in theory and not practically this is the main reason why engineers are not able to get a desired package after so many years of input because their is a severe lack of practicality in life. Learning standards are still not raised as some of the major topics in subjects still deal in something which was used past 10-20 years and has alot of evolution till date. There are only basics. I honestly don't like indian education system but that is what we have and will have to do to survive in today's world. Yes there are field visits which are just for name sake again. Some college do have campus but for students who are way higher in grades and only handfull of students get selected in those programs.
Placement Experience
They promise good placements but in reality it's not only some companies like tata, l&t, mahindra visit and handful of students are selected for interviews.
College Events
There are no technical fests arranged. Cultural festivals include 1. Ganesh chaturthi 2. Freshers party 3. Farewell party 4. Annual fest of 3-5 days ( Sports, dancing, singing, games, dj party, social events, traditional day) Not very big festival but an average which mostly every college has. It's all arranged by the students a committee is formed who looks after all the things. It takes palce only at the personal college level.
Fee Structure And Facilities
1,20,000 for a course Accepts only cash and demand drafts. My college is in a little remote area where transport is little bit expensive So there was fixed bus service charges for everyone. Even those who commence personal mode of transport. Fee-breakdown is given and their is transperancy in fees structure.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
No I didn't avail any scholarships or any loans for my education purpose. The college does offer scholarship to lower caste and to those who are really poor but have good grades. For which you have to submit certain certificate.
Campus Life
Campus was good for summers and winters but as I said its situated in a slight remote area there are mountains behind my campus. The campus is literally constructed by breaking mountains. So during monsoon most of the times due to heavy rains the campus is filled with water with 3-4 inches of water. As it is engineering the male-female ratio is 70-30 70% male and 30% female. Thanks to the new thinking there are no discrimination on basis of gender, race, religion faced in my campus. Everything works smooth without any political influence.
Hostel Facilities
There are no hostel facility. Everyone travelled from their home stay or either took house rentals near the campus area. The rentals in that area goes around 10000-15000 for a single bedroom house whuch can be shared by 2-3 individual.
Alumni/Alumna
There are always two different types of people usually we have to face while dealing with senior it's on you who you choose. My seniors were helpful and friendly. They supported me throughout my course
Admission
I always dreamt of designing cars and be a professional design expert in automotive industry, for which I had to gain engg degree in automobile or mechanical engineering so that I can opt for designing masters in my post graduation course. So I directly visited this college as my grades were slightly low and opted for mechanical engineering in this institution
Faculty
After spending almost 4 years of life in a course it really doesn't matter what a faculty is speaking or does that even makes a sense. Yes some of them are very good at it but their experience are based on the field practical knowledge. The problem is one who are good in teaching lack knowledge and the ones good at knowledge lack teaching. If this 2 things will come hand in hand then it will boost India's development rate on different levels
