About my college

College Management is not so strong ad expected. Students are found roaming hither and thither whithin the campus even during class hours which is not at all expected from a well reputed college.placement system is very weak.Students have to go on strike for calling companies.This is pathetic.

It is under MAKAUT. It has 8 semesters.We have to take monthly assessment tests and internals whose marks are added in the finals.We have practical exams and viva too.50% attendance is compulsory for siiting in the semester examination.our exam structure is relevant,research,driven and fair.

Many IT companies visit our college namely Lumino Group, Ayant Software,Extra Marks etc.have visited our college.Students apply for TCS and BYJUS too which are pool campusing.Students appearing for the placement have to sit for Aptitude test.If they clear this round they then go for group discussion round.If they clear it too then they have to face personal interview. College has orgainsed for grooming classes for preparing the students for placement.

There are many events and functions organised in our college.Every special day like teachers day,friendship day,freshers for juniors, farewell, rabindra jayanti,independence day,republic day,sports day are organised and celebrated with lots of enthusiasm.

Fee structure is not so expensive for engineering course.they accept check, cash and even net banking also.there is no problem is payment method. The college provide transparency in the fee - breakdown.As per my knowledge, no additional fees is to be paid in order to secure an admission to my course.fees are paid after every six months.My father pay the fees by check every year.

I did nt opt for any scholarship or education loan so I did not avail any such offer.But yes there is a good system of scholarship and education loan in our college.

Campus in our college is more like a park for couples to have a good time.sports day is held annually which is good.labs are held weekly which is helpful somehow.there are 4 clubs in our college namely Yoddha which teaches self defence, Robos spandhan which organises cultural activities, ROCA which is a technical club and EDC which comprises of faculties and students which organises mainly seminars.

Yes I have opted for hostel.Let me first say about the hostel food which is pathetic.hostel has only good supply of electricity and water.There are 3 wardens in our hostel.We are not allowed to remain outside of the hostel after 5:45.hostel rooms are good.3 to 4 people share the room.there are 2 seater rooms also.

There are alumni meetings once in a year but only for chemical deparment. Alumni seminars for all teh departments is not organised hence I dont know much about it since i am from computer science background

By giving WBJEE, I had to choose my college.I thought DIATM will be a college of my dreams but it did not satisfy my expectations. I was selected in the first round of my counselling and was called for admission.They took my details and checked them.I was then offered the facility of hostel inside the campus.In this way I got admission.

There are mainly 10 to 12 lecturers of each department in our college within the age of 22 to 50 years.Most of them teach us nicely and make tremendous effort to make us understand the subject.Some fail in their attempt of teaching which results the students losing interest in those subjects.
