Remarks

Politics has to stay out of the college and college can improve on modifying and maintaining a good infrastructure.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The teachers were well qualified and were ready to impart knowledge. Some parts of the curriculum was only theoretical with no practical application. On campus placements were not prevalent during those times. Political influence sometimes used to hinder the class hours and so most of the students depended on tuitions outside the campus.

Placement Experience

0.5

During those times there were no campus placements. Most of the companies chose to go to engineering colleges for their placements and graduates were not offered any jobs during that time unlike these days.

College Events

1.5

College Day, Literature day and other cultural events used to attract a lot of crowd in the auditoriums.Lot of students used to participate in these cultural events.Sometimes celebrities, famous singers etc were invited as chief guests for the events. Most of the students used to enjoy such events in the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Not quite sure about the fees. But mode of payment was cash. There was no additional fees. Not sure if a paid admission was possible. The college used to provide a receipt for all the fee payments made with the amount mentioned against each component. That ways the college was quite transparent.

Fees and Financial Aid

Not availed any education loan or any scholarship. But the college had opportunities for the eligible candidates to apply for the loan or scholarship.

Campus Life

2

Boys and girls ratio was almost equal. General labs were functional with good teachers and assistants around. But sports was not given a priority. Not heard much about the competitions held in the college campus. Since there were no mobile phones getting any updates on the happenings in the college was also very difficult. There were no differences shown to students coming from various political or economic backgrounds. There was gender equality. There was no racism or religion discussed.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni is generally held quite often. Whatsapp and other technology based apps help students to get together and gather some information and social contacts with the old students. This sometimes turns out to be fruitful as well

Admission

Was interested in learning about various elements in nature and their composition. This college was close to my house. After application was submitted I had to wait for a call letter.Students were called based on their marks. Later I was offered the course.

Faculty

4

1st and 2nd year lecturers for languages and subjects summed upto to 7 or8. Third year subject specific lecturers were around 6. Most of them were in the age group between 40 to 50 with a few exceptions who had newly joined the college who were in their 30s. Most of the faculties had good knowledge of the subject that they were teaching and most of them were well qualified with experience and certifications.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My favourite subject is biology. I have applied for zoology course but unfortunately there is no seats available at that time, so I chose Botany which is also my favourite. The curriculum is perfect and prepares for real world. More practical sessions are needed. Every 6 months there will be semester exam. Which is not that much tough.

Remarks:

College lacks infrastructure and ample space for the ease of college excitement but the college offers a great field of laboratories and on-site experience in the field the faculty and lectures sometimes involve too much into their personal life than minding their own business.
