Remarks

When it comes to svce, a student will always think about good remarks. It is a environment that allows you to grow in whatever aspect you desire.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is standardized by Anna university As the course is going to be similar across all the affiliated colleges in tamil nadu, SVCE chose to be unique in conducting the internal exams for real and the marks will be awarded appropriately unlike other colleges which gives 14 to 15 as default internal marks.

Placement Experience

4

The campus placement drive top notch and the placement cell has contacts all over the market. With respect to IT, they bring in tech giants like cts, infy, tcs, tech mahindra, wipro and also some big shots like zoho, mindtree

College Events

4.5

Symposiums and seminars are conducted every year without a miss for every department. The college focuses on academics and sports but a little less on art and cultural activities. Still every year a cultural program and a sports day would happen. IT symposium attracts lot of college students where they could take away great knowledge from the events

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is on par with the market - around 70000 for academics and 30000 for transport. The college provides transparency upto an extent but has a stupid rules for the transport that all non hostelers must opt for it. Also people located 10 kms away from college will pay the same fees of people located 40 kms away.

Fees and Financial Aid

I havent opted for any of the scholarship. Students who avail for scholarship usually will be guided by the faculties and i have seen that they face no difficulties to get it

Campus Life

4

The campus has always been encouraging students to try new things and the faculties were always been supportive. It gives us the freedom to learn academics and also the freedom to not learn about academics and to concenterate on what one wishes to pursue.

Hostel Facilities

3

No, I havent opted for hostel. I have been a day scholar for the entire course. I have seen amazing infrastructure of the hostel and the food is decent. Non veg food is not served here. They have RO plants and they have bio gas plants which makes the place eco friendly

Alumni/Alumna

SVCE has a huge allumini network as of now with more than 12k svceians. They used to organize seminars, hiring campains, reach out forums to help the budding svce ians

Admission

I have got admissions through management quota. I opted for IT as i was always fascinated about computers and i have gained the interest on computers in my early age. As this institution is accessible through buses from my residence, i was comfortable to do a daily commute and it is by far one of the best institutions accessible from my residence

Faculty

3.5

The faculties of this college are mostly homegrown and they know what svce is all about. They treat the students accordingly. With respect to their experience and expertise, i would comment that more than 40% of the faculties are super experienced and they know everything and the others are learners but still will help students
