Remarks

An Institute of 120+ acres of land with 16000+students and 1600+ faculties

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum is affiliated to VTU-(Visveswaraya Technological University) All the engineering courses are for a period of 4 years. All the Engineering Courses are CBCS-(Choice Based Credit System) and For more information on grading system kindly visit this site : https://vtu.ac.in/en/

Placement Experience

2

Placements are better for Computer Science, Information Science, Electrical & Electronics, Electrical and communication and Mechanical Engineering. Never expect a good job with other engineering streams no matter your scores or achievements. Overall i can say 100/600 gets placed. What about the rest. This not only the issues with my college but most of the colleges in India as well.

College Events

4.5

Every year in March a huge festival will be celebrated for 1 complete month and its named Acharya Habba, mostly no academic activity takes place. During this time students from more than 60+ countries unite and diversify ourselves celebrating together as one family. There is no question on types of events. You can find the entire world activities in one Institute. This is the one of the biggest fest in Karnataka.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Most importantly this is a very wrong question. Education is not a business but knowledge to share with our future generations. However now its impossible to change as our education system is highly corrupt. Each and every individual must be given education for free for the betterment of our well being. Government has the potential to run each and every institute for free if they wish to but its not gonna happen. However the fee structure in my college is a feasible to the rich, moderately feasible to the middle class and impossible for the poor.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are only for students who took admissions over entrance exams. They need to fill in the scholarship form to avail one. Depending on their scores they would be given scholarships for every academic year until they graduate.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is cool, ragging free environment, if any found they will thrown out of the institute. Student from 60+ countries study here and we stay together as a family and we don't discriminate. Gender ratio is approximately 50-50 i can say. The location of our institute makes us stay together peacefully as the college is located in the outskirts of Bangalore.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostels is where my college loot money by charging 100-150 thousands annually for tasteless partially hygienic food. You can set your priority as single, double or triple sharing which again has different price slabs as mentioned above. Hostels are of good infrastructure. Mostly its like a 1 star hotel.

Alumni/Alumna

Most of our alumnus are highly connected as its a students network. They are highly helpful in any time of need. Most of them are pursuing their masters in abroad as you know Indian Education system requires decades to teach things in advance.

Admission

I was interested in life sciences. Infrastructure is the only factor that made me join this Institute. As i was a management quota, i didn't find any difficulty in my admission process, but when it comes to CET and COMED-K, there are some procedures for you to follow such as : Applying for your desired course through your entrance exam scores and wait for your name on the seat allotted list. This process is done in 3 phases with 3 different lists for 13 Engineering Departments. As of now there are 11. If you didn't get a seat for your desired course, you might have a chance of getting it in some other course.

Faculty

3.5

Few faculties are highly knowledgeable, and few are moderate i can say, overall the teaching methodologies are not that tech savvy. Some teach only what is required and some go beyond the topics to make it interesting. Each and every faculty will be given a group of students depending on the student:Teacher ratio as a proctor to mentor them throughout the course. Overall i can rate 7/10.

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
