NMIMS Engineering School Review for MBA Tech

Reputed college. The names NMIMs says it all. MBA from NMIMS ie valued thought India.

MBA tech is a five years course offering two degrees at the end. B.tech and MBA tech. There are different technical streams like IT, CS, chemical, civil, mechanical. Management streams include Finance, Operations etc. First three years technical subjects are taught. Next two years management subjects are taught.

There are two internships. One technical and One Management. Good as well as Average companies had arrived for placement. We were asked to appear for the entrance test each company had. Followed by good and interview as per company's requirement. Sometimes we also had to visit the company if the rounds were held there. 80-85 % of students got the place.

Sattva. Shirpur campus had technical festivals. Coding competition was arranged. Chess, robotics workshops were also there. We formed a committee for helping under privilege children in the nearby area. In the Mumbai campus, DJ was invited to make the festival happening.

Mba tech program is expensive but worth as you get two degrees in five years. RTGS mode is the acceptable form of payment. A post payment receipt is given which includes Trimester wise breakdown. The receipt is stamped. There is management quota as well. Additional charges for management quota

No scholarship was provided. Fees were paid by me. However, there was the flexibility of paying the fees in instalment.

Shirpur campus has a cricket ground and Tennis court. Well equipped technical labs. The college has zero tolerance towards ragging. At shirpur campus, there was a mechanical workshop as well. A separate engineering drawing lap equipped with boards. Labs for extc department was also there.

There are a number of campuses. I chose shirpur campus. Rooms are spacious. 4 students in each room. Each one will have their own bed, study table. Book cupboard and a wardrobe. There is cleaning staff who clean rooms daily. Five star service.

College seniors provided us with books and were helpful. They were very welcoming. We conducted events with them. We were part of different external committees with which college had merged.

NMIMS is a reputable university. Has Good placement process. The admission process is NMAT entrance exam followed by the interview. Then we proceeded for campus selection. There is a number of campuses across India. Post that we had to select the engineering stream

Each faculty has industry experience. The pattern followed is Trimester pattern. Each Trimester has two sessional exams and one main exam. Faculty provided us with study materials and taught us exhaustively in the classroom. Each Trimester had two practical examinations.
