Remarks

Overall the faculty of instru at this college sucks, but computer and electronics branch has some good faculty. Management here is mediocre. So to conclude average college and can be avoided if other options are available.

Entrance Preview

I took the CET(Common Entrance Test) as well as the AIEEE(All India Engg Entrance Exam). I got admitted to this coll on the basis of AIEEE. I was attracted towards Instrumentation engg as it is a combination of 3 diff disciplines of engg viz. Electrical, Electronics and Mechanical. Hence Instru engineers are regarded as control engineers. I choose this college for the sole reason that it offered Instrumentation degree as not all the colleges offer it, and also due to my slightly lower scores in the AIEEE and CET I could not get into much prestigious institutions.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is quite variegated covering aspects from different disciplines of engg into one common branch. This helps to gain a broad perspective of different subjects as a whole.

Internships Opportunities

Overall the internship scenario at this college is not very good. However, some companies do visit the campus and provide internship opportunities. The average stipend is near about 5k.

Placement Experience

1

As I mentioned earlier placements are not good at this college. Very few companies visit campus and dish out jobs. The money offered by them is worth peanuts and so students mostly go for off campus jobs.

College Events

3

The techical event of this college is known as enlightenment .Which has a wide range of events from technical paper presentation, rob-events to treasure hunt. Cultural event is known as IGNITE.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is quite feasible. I had to pay 50k for the first year, 52k for the second year, 54k for the third year and by the time of last year fees was 55k.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are limited scholarships given to students who have higher scores in the entrance exams. Also the college provides reduction in the fees for students from economically backward classes.

Campus Life

2

Campus life around the college is quite boring. Sports are taken rather seriously and you can always find someone playing cricket or football at the ground. There are IEEE and computer clubs which are quite active and organize some good events.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

There are no hostel facilities provided by the college. Most of the students rent apartments near the college as it is quite feasible. The canteen service provided by the college is not hygenic and most students prefer to eat outside.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very interactive, helpful and chilled out. There is no ragging scenario as such. Our branch Instru did not have a fixed book for every subject to refer. So the notes compiled by the seniors used to be very helpful for some subjects. Also seniors were very generous in parting their notes.

Exam Structure

Exam time is pretty hectic, rest of the time is not that hectic considering everything is done on a timely basis.

Faculty

2.5

The faculty of the college is not that great as very few professors know what they are doing. Majority of the professors don't know what they are teaching and do so just for the sake of completely the syllabus. However, there are a few professors who are really good and thorough in their field of expertise and make learning a joy.

After 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placements depending upon their capabilities, staff recomendation, CGPA, and various other factors. Not everyone is provided with placements because 80% of the students prefer studying for masters. Companies like TCS, cipla, abott, and many more pharma companies visit here with average package of 4 lakh per annnum.
