Anonymous's Review On Haldia Institute Of Technology - [HIT], Haldia

I chose this college, Haldia Institute of Technology because it was the college referred to me by WBJEE RANK. The main reason for choosing this college is its infrastructure. This is one of the best private engineering colleges in my state and I opted for it.The decision in choosing this college was also backed by good feedbacks I recieved regarding Haldia Institute of Technology. Irritated by the hustle and bustle of a city life, I chose a life in the outskirts. Haldia is peaceful than most cities and felt that it could be a perfect place for studies. The Practicals which is an important element in any proffesional course.Good practicals require good laboratories and As I heard from the most Haldia Institute of Technology doesn't compromise on the practicals. Haldia Institute of Technology hostel facilities also made it easy to make a decision.

Regarding the course syllabus I don't find it so updated in accordance to the mordern advances in technology. Well it is the same for almost every engineering institute in India. We have practical classes where we are taught about practical knowledge and it's practice in the Industry level. The practice isn't sufficient for an Industry level, Training and Internships come into play then. There are various Technical groups like the Civil Era for Civil Engineering. They help us provide trainings and software based educatiom and Yes, it does come with a seperate price affordable enough. The college also provides training in various Industries present in Haldia as Haldia being an Industrial Area. Although, finding trainings and a perfect match requires own work but the college supports our training in the best possible way.

The placement and job opportunities is average. The on campus placement is good, but mostly only if you are in a computer science and Information Technology engineering student. If you are good at coding and have a good to go knowledge aehen you are sure to get hired even if you belong from other departments. Required you have a basic coding knowlege. To be fair with you all placement is favourable only to those who are knowledgeable with additional skills. Marketing Companies enter to give the placements but it is not worth the time and time you spent in a 4 year technical engineering course. There are companies which give placements like Infosys, Adani, Coignizant US Solutions, BYJU's, Vedantu and some few Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Companies and other Departmental companies. Some even have recieved 3+ jobs from on campus placements but the packages are real low. Marketing jobs are easy to grab but for most it becomes the plan b or last option. There are other technical departmental companies but they only select a few from the batch.

Campus Life is enjoyable. Cheers to the environment and students of Haldia. If you have a passion for something which is slightly off oriented with academics then this is the college to opt for. Your extracurriculars will fluorish in this college. There are various events in the college including sports tournament - Cricket Tournament, Football tournaments, basketball tournament s and Table tennis. There are sports day to bring out the athlete in you. The energizing drama, dance and music is taken serious in this college. There is singing competition, dance competition, chess competition, poetry, memes competition and a long list to go on. There is a technical fest named Prayukti where there are technical events organised by the college. Prayukti is followed by Riviera a cultural festival where college bands perform, famous singer and bands have a show in our college on the Riviera function.Well the campus life is engergizing and a relief to the stress on an engineering academic degree

The infrastructure is the main thing one would fall for love, with this college. A lushful 43 acre campus is enough to serve the optimum requirements for both academic and extracurricular activities. The college has good parking facilities, hostels ( both boys and girls ), laboratories - Departmental labrotaries, Auto Cad labrotaries and Computer laboratories. It has a play grounds which can be used for both cricket and football. HIT also has a basketball court to try out your dunks and three - pointers. The laboratory is just awesome and peaceful. It is two storey facility with variety of technical books. It is placed at a perfect place from the campus to maintain peace and serenity. Canteens are also present and there are a range of canteens to choose from - from juice centres, snacks and meals centres. All hostels have mess facilities and you pay the bil only for what you paid. Guess what ? The hostel meals are affordable and on the cheaper side.
