Remarks

NAAC accredited with A grade. Reputed institution in the region. One of the best colleges under Kannur University in every aspects. Can reach by Bus or train( a passenger train station is present in a walkable distance). Regular transport available. Close to town area. Renowned NCC sub unit. Produced many talents be it in Academics,sports or arts, To quote one indian international football players CK Vineeth and Shahal Abdul samad were students of Sree Narayana College Kannur. Faculty of physical education was awarded the best physical education faculty award in Kerala State. Has experienced faculties in almost every departments.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum was updated in 2014 and 2017. Have the best and experienced faculties in the region. Many of them present in the Kannur University team for upgrading and preparing syllabi. Even though some faculties are freshers they are of pure merit.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 7000 per year

Placement Experience

Placement is not regular. Even though a massive campus recruitment happened in 2018. In which many software and automobile companies participated. ex : NISSAN, TATA, etc.(don't remember software companies as I've not attended them).

College Events

Best. Whoever was in the college will never forget the moments they had. Numerous cultural events take place in every academic year. Also hosts university art fest, sports championships. Management fest is an unquenchable event. NCC life is very exciting and no words to describe. Politics is high.

Campus Life

The only problem with this institution is its underdeveloped infrastructure. Even though some renovations have taken place almost all bulidings are of ages. In 2018 they upgraded infrastructure radically. But still not enough. For a reputed college like this, I would say it's not fine. New indoor stadium has built previous year.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is available for girls only. 2 hostels are available for girls. One just outside college campus and offers an entry to college. Other one is in walkable distance. Food and water is good. Infrastructure is good. Some nearby houses allow paying guest facility also. Hostel is allocated to students in sports quota also.

A Decent College for BSc chemistry students

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed this degree for me to pursue higher studies in uk or foreign country to study cosmetics related field. So for that bsc chemistry degree must have But this curriculum doesn't teach something base to that I think so.. For further studies the teachers need improvement to teach certain topics some teachers didn't even prepare to study students and lab safety is not in the lab.Because of the teaching the portions are done in last minutes and often exams are difficult in major subjects so they need to improve their study methods and often approach students nicely..

Why you should/shouldn't join LISSAH

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

Placement Experience:

From semester 5 the opportunity to get a job is out there. Many companies comes to interview and they swlect the apt ones. Sun, Mahendra etc are some of the companies i remember. The highesr package for freshers is like 15000 a month. There is a high percentage of students getting placements its 80-85%.My plan is to study masters.

I chose Bsc electronics, it has an attractive curriculum and some of them are influenced me in some way. The facilities are well-known about the curriculum preparing and all. The current curriculum is good but it needs some changes. Include more practicals is one of my suggestion. Teaching methods are good it doesn't need any change. Exams are conducted by Kerala University, so the college can't do anything in main exams but the college will complete all the portions before the exam date it is sure.
