Remarks

I chose The Oxford College Of Engineering because I wanted to opt for mechatronics as my major for graduation. Back in 2017, it was one of the three colleges under VTU, providing this course in the entire state of Karnataka. Considering factors like placements, exposure, teaching methodology and proximity, I opted for this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose Mechatronics because it deals with robotics and artificial intelligence, and that is my area of interest. I have had about 40-45 students in my class and each one gets the opportunity to be well-groomed by the faculties. All the faculties, at the least, have completed their masters and are good at delivering topics and teaching. Term exams were conducted as per the schedule set by VTU. The difficulty level of papers were easy to moderate. If one attends classes regularly and studies at home as well, then passing is no big deal.

Course Fees: INR 75500 per year

Placement Experience

Generally, students become eligible for applying to jobs by the commencement of 6th semester. There have been all the top-notch companies that have visited our college, ranging from IBM, Infosys to Zomato and PayPal. My plans after completing my engineering are to pursue higher studies, most likely, MBA.

Fees and Financial Aid

This is my 4th year at Oxford and there hasn't been any fee hike as I have secured my admission through merit, based on CET ranking.

Campus Life

Each year, we have the cultural and tech fest called Impulse and Milana. They are usually conducted in the even semesters, in the months of March and April. The library of my college is well equipped and resourceful, with books and journals available to one and all, and periodically updated with new ones. The annual sports meet is also conducted in even semesters around March-April. Both faculties and students take part in various events.

From 6th semester we will get the placement assist .almost all mnc and top companies in india visits the college , namely cognizant ,oracle, tcs , infosys , capgemini , accenture , mu sigma , and many others along with startups . few companies offers direct fte roles, whereas few take students as interns and provide fte(full time employment).package will be between 3 to 36 lpa. rules during college placement drive are there will be 3 buckets , less than 7 lpa bucket 1 , 7-15 lpa bucket-2, above 15lpa bucket -3 , if a student gets any offer in specified bucket then he/she wont be eligible to apply for companies withe the salary range of that bucket. They provide international placement opportunities also , specially the zenken company collaboration , helps to get japan companies placement assist.

Placement Experience:

Generally I pefferd this college because of the college's reputation in placments . Students generally get placed into company's in 7th sem . Generally companies like TATA, IBM, Infosys, Amazon , Wistron, Accenture, Xoriant, Hp etc . generally 800 + students gets offers . Highest package is around 30+ Lpa and avearge package is 7 Lpa .MY plan is to try for both placements and also Gate examination
