BITS Pilani is best private institutions in India for engineering and it has always remained in the top-20 list of best engineering colleges including IITs. It provides a flexibility in the courses it offer so a student can also opt for a course that is not in his stream. For example a civil engineering student can do a course related to finance, computer science etc. Students can also choose their instructors of the course from the given options. It also offers an option of obtaining a minor degree in finance or physics etc which may vary year to year.

Amazon, Flipkart, Xilingo, Anarock are some of the famous companies that visited during the places season. A student can opt to sit for placements either in semester I or II of 4th year. Placement starts before the first week of semester. Students have to apply in companies they are eligible for on a portal and follow the procedure of the company that is written-test/GD, interview. Different companies follow different procedures

Technical - students are more interested in tech there is also a tech festival that is held every year. It last for 4 days and students from different colleges come to participate in it. Cultural - there are cultural association of almost all the states which held different events time to time. This is a huge event which last for 4 days and almost every hour there is some kind of event is going on. Students from various colleges participate in these events

Two types scholarships based on merit and merit-cum need (MCN) based. Merit cum depends on the income of the family and for the last semester the income slab was 10 lakhs per annum. For >8 CGPA - 40% MCN, and for 6.5-8 CGPA -25% MCN. CGPA may vary depending on the number of students applied.

Football and cricket ground, racetrack, basketball, squash and badminton court. A library with very good collection of books. All hostels have wi-fi for students and institute building have wi-fi for staffs. Labs are renovated with working equipments.

Hostels are mandatory for students. For 1st years it is a double sharing rooma in different hostels and from second year there are limited seats available for single rooms that is decided by chits. Students can also form their own wing of 10-11 students.
