Remarks

Journalism is offered by this college in TN and it is the best when compared to the rest. they have a balance of both theoretical and practical work assigned. This college also offers extracurricular activities and there is good exposure for media students. This college also provides a platform to showcase our talents

Course Curriculum Overview

It is really good and well crafted. We have goof industrial exposure but no placement. But other than that, the college provides really good type of training. Media faculties are very good with their teachings

My college has placements only for selected courses. But for Journalism, it is not offered. But instead, we get to have a six week internship with famous media houses as a compulsory activity. We are also taken to IV once a year

College Events

We have a lot of events happening every month. Every department comes out with various types of unique competitions and events. We also have a lot of functions celebrated. Sometimes, we are also provided to witness felicitating functions too

Life at PSGCAS

Placement Experience:

The placements were okay in our college, it starts from the second year onwards in respect to diff degree. For economics it starts from 5th semester onwards. There were many companies who visited including goldman sachs, deloitte, zoho, tcs, accenture etc. and the package starts from 1,20,000 to 12,00,000 rupees per annum.

Madras School of Economics - A Comprehensive Review for Bachelor's

Course Curriculum Overview:

Has a lot of new age courses like MS Excel, Python and Data Science. It prepares you fairly well for roles like Data Analyst, Financial Modelling, etc. Areas for improvement include optimising the curriculum load as per the students. Two internals (one after a month after sem starts, second a few weeks before the end sem) and the end sem. I feel the end sem is relatively easier due to the preparation we endure for the internals.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Political science syllabus in our college is pretty upgraded. The way it's structured is also pretty good. For a student of Political Science, they first gives us an introduction of the discipline theoretically explaining the subject before moving to it's real life examples. Out syllabus covers almost everything that is required for a Political Science graduate. Faculties make it even more effective using assignments and their lectures. We also have inter-disciplinary courses.
