Great learning! Strict yet linient.

For some lectures you will have a rotating class due to lack of space.

I took CET and scored around 132. I opted for this college since it had south Indian minority. Apart from that I didn't even go for cap rounds since the review was great. I was confident enough about the placements here.

Curriculum is asper university of Mumbai. Electives I chose were Wireless Network and IT for Healthcare in the 7th and 8th semester respectively. Both the subjects were taught well provided you sit for lectures.

No internship! However, the placements are above average. You are allowed to take up external projects for BE. The department will approve your request but will not help you find one.

Major companies like TCS , LnT, Tech Mahindra, Convonix are recruiters in SIES. Almost 80% get placed. Around 100 got placed in TCS , 50 others in IGate , 20 odd in LnT and 5-10 in Tech m apart from other companies that came.

Events are however not up to that mark. Events and festivals are good but not comparable to those in VJTI. Well, every year SIES tries to reach higher and higher in terms of events and fests with a pinch of innovation.

The fee structure is comparable to other colleges under University of Mumbai. When I had got admitted in 2009 my fee was 65k and remained the same through out my course.

Scholarships are offered to the toppers as well as top performers from economically backward classes. The college also gives away various excellence awards to the deserving to motivate them. Loans can be availed from banks.

Overall we had great exposure to everything mentioned above. Girls and guys were given equal opportunity and the ratio is pretty good, Various technical competitions including national level TPPs and project events apart from robotics are organized by SIES every year. Since it is a South Indian organization you can find too many south Indians there but no bias apart from admissions.

No PGs provided by college. However there are various PGs just a km away which are good enough. Also apartments are available onrent. The canteen serves good food.

All the alumni are either doing MS or placed in excellent companies and achieving great heights. Many of our students turn out to be managers, business analyst, software engineers in distinguished companies.

1 midsem and one prelim every sem covering all the topics. Labs and faculty approach prepare you towards research and publishing papers.

The faculty in IT department were very helpful and homely. They taught really well and were good enough to explain each concept clearly, The faculty also is helpful and obliges with LORs for MS applications. All you need to do is submit your assignments on time.
