Very good name among the city, Good infrastructure facilities, very good and free campus. This institution also provides very good placement. Automobile engineering is only available as main degree only in few colleges at chennai, in which SRM is a better option than others.

The syllabus and the course curriculum is being updated regularly in the KTR campus. The labs are updated frequently with the current trend of the developing industries. There are many industrial people who share their knowledge through different talks, presentations, webinars, workshops. The faculties are very good and kind towards all the students. The faculties are of great subject and practical knowledge. The lab assistants are also helpful and supportive with us. All the faculties are good to name some from automobile department, i would mention Mr. Leenus Jesu martin, Mr. T Prakash, Mr. S Kiran, Mr. C Prabhu, Mr. Praveen Kumar, Mr. Jerome stanley.

Many companies have visited our campus and have offered job oppurtunities to many students. Major IT companies like Wipro, TCS, CTS, Infosys etc have offered nearly to 2000 students this year. The placement department works well. Only complaint about the placement cell is they do not round off the percentage of the candidates, for example i had a percentage of 79.71% in my 7th semester, some core companies set a qualification for the entrance as 80%, which i couldnt apply. If my percentage was rounded off, i could have applied for that job. There are many aluminis working in different companies, who can also be reached through various social platform. Only majn feedback for the placement cell would be to bring more core companies for Mechanical and Automobile dept students other than IT companies.

Campus life is very good. Students from different countries come and study at SRM KTR campus which brings the cross cultural ambiance for all the students. It helps in interacting with people of different minds and thoughts. There are many events being conducted at SRM, the main technical event is called AARUSH and cultural event is called as MILAN. Both these fests brings a new josh to all of us. There would be knowledge, Music, Dance, Fashion, Contests, Rides and loads & loads of fun. Many famous celebrities, artists, musicians, speakers come and participate in these cultural fests.

Educational loans can be availed through many banks like indian bank, HDFC bank etc. The students are easily given loans based on the popularity of the college. Some banks provide only Half the college fees whereas other banks provide the full college fees as eductional loan.

This is probably one of the best campus in chennai. I have visted many college campus but SRM KTR is the best. you can get Wifi all over the campus. The campus is cleaned regularly. There is a huge library for around 3 floors in which students can study peacefully. There is a big Baskeball court, many grounds for cricket and football, Seperate courts for shuttle, many indoor halls for different games. There is a very big Auditorium known as TP Ganesan auditorium, which can accomodiate around 2500 people at one time. All the labs are well equiped with new techs and systems. There are Individual and seperate Hangers for every department in which different labs are available for students.

Hostels are good and well maintained. There are 2 kind of hostels, one is a normal one and another one is a bit sofasticated one. The rooms are always maintained clean. There are seperate hostel for boys and for girls. The water facility, toilet & bathroom facility, the security facility are also good. The food in the mess is what a big issue is. The taste isnt that good but as time goes you have to adjust to it, hence it gets routine for us.
