Remarks

Cochin college is one among the popular aided colleges in the city. It is noted by the good quality education offered by highly qualifed faculty in the college. The reasonable and financially feasible fee structure is one of the peculiar advantage that the college offers. E grants are available to the SC/ST Students that will be a great financial assistance during their graduation.

Course Curriculum Overview

B.com taxation course curriculum contains more of theoretical applications than practical sessions. The only negative about the curriculum is that it do not include interships and industrial visits to give more of industry based work experience and knowledge. Faculty of the college is good, supportive and friendly.

Course Fees: INR 8400 per year

Placement Experience

Poor placements. Cochin college provides poor rate of placements compared to other regular colleges. Only two or three private companies visits the campus for placement drives. And only a few students benefits from these. To cover this, there are job fairs conducted in the college every year.

College Events

Campus life is really good. Only positive remarks about the cultural events, extracurricular activities and sports events held in the college. The Union day is the biggest event during the academic year that is the official inaugration day of the college student union. There is campus politics inside the college.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements in there 6th semester during 3rd year. The students has to score highest grades and should be capable of any skills and has to showed up in academic skills are eligible for getting placements. Sometimes the federal banks and other service centres approached the college for placing the students. The students from our department are placed in companies like( Tata Consultancy services and Accenture) . I think the highest package and average packages are around 25000. After all, my plans are degree is to getting placed in any reputed companies and further more.
