MH-CET (71 marks)I opted this college because of good infrastructure, good faculty, good campus which i got to know from my cousins already studyinn in that college.I think Pillai's college has the best infrastructure compared to other colleges in navi mumbai.
Course Curriculum Overview
I opted for engineering course.Engineering course is upto 4 years with two semesters per year i.e total 8 semesters. The college conducted two unit tests to prepare students for the final semester. Apart from written exam there is viva and internal marks for particular/every subject.
Internships Opportunities
Engineering course doesn't offer any internship for electronics branch as far as i know. But the college is tied to many MNCs hence if interested the college gives reference to the student for these companies.
Placement Experience
Placement is above average. Mostly software companies attend the placement session. Apart from software companies core companies for electronics/EXTC are very much less but still the college gives opportunity for core companies.
College Events
Pillai's college helds its own fest called 'Alegria-the festival of joy' which is considered to be the best in mumbai. It ranges upto a week and many stars and sportsperson come for either promotions or for an event organised. Also since it started the fest also organizes event for international artists too.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Engineering fees per year is approx. 1, 00, 200/- It is somewhat less or same than the other colleges.The fees also include the examination fees.So every year the student has to pay the respective amount of fees which may change according ti the Mumbai University norms.
Fees and Financial Aid
As far as Scholarship is concerned i don't know much about it so i cant convey much. Loan facilities though is available which can be referred to the respective authorities and they will guide you.
Campus Life
Campus life no doubt is good, i think the best in navi mumbai. The college is as much involved in extracurricular activities as in their study curriculam. Robotics, debates are organised from time to time in college, also held in the biggest fest in navi mumbai 'Alegira'.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are super helpful when it comes to anything from studies to extracurricular activities. They support you very much and are friendly. Also ragging is banned in the college and there's a anti-ragging booth there where any student can complain and appropriate action will be taken those who rag.
Exam Structure
Exam structure is preplanned by the respective branch faculties and the timetable is given way in advance to the students to perform well. The labs are updated regularly and tends to every need of a student.
Faculty
The faculty of college ranges from medium to excellent. Every branch had a senior faculty i.e experience up-to 15-20 years who used to guide the other faculties under him/her for the betterment of the students.
