Remarks

Bits is the only college in india which is in the league of old IITs. Its one of the best engineering colleges in India. It has the institute of eminence tag from government of India. Bits tag help in lot of places, jobs, masters. Placements are also good.

Course Curriculum Overview

Bits academic curriculum is revised regularly. The faculties are pretty decent, some of the professors are really passionate about their subjects, proffeser Samantha of maths department, ranjan dey sir, anirban sir. Their is 0% attendance policy which eases a bit of academic pressure. Bits has a system of practice school, PS1 and PS2 they help in good industry exposure

Amazon, Microsoft, uber and other big companies visit our campuses and recruit students. Postman a bits goa startup recently became a unicorn(1 billion $ evaluation). Bits pilani has a great alumni network.

College Events

Waves, Quark and Spree are the 3 college fests and among top 5 college fests in India last waves had a footfall of roughly 60k people. And in tech fest quark we had first hindi speaking robot sophie, there were many prominent guest lectures.

Fees and Financial Aid

Sbi bank education loan is good enough to consider. Also there is merit cum need scholarship in bits.

Campus Life

There is a football ground, cricket ground, volleyball court, basketball court, squash court, badminton court, tennis court, jogging track, tt tables, carrom room, chess room, pool. Area is roughly 200 acre, its pretty large campus, we have a 5 gb daily wifi quota available throughout the campus and a locar college surver. The library is really huge and has a large collection of books on almost any topic

Hostel Facilities

1st year hostels are built fresh so they are new, also they are double sharing. They have sufficient space, 1 almirah 1 table, 1 bed, 1 rack and a fan for each of the occupant. From 2nd year onwards we have individual rooms.

Hostel Fee: INR 120000 per year

Goa University: An amazing experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum and the course outline along with my seniors and mutual people giving me insight towards influenced me towards choosing this course. The course itself is great and as taken all aspects into account for the overall development of a student for the field of Marine Sciences. Bits goa brief review

Placement Experience:

The placements are very good because we have two compulsory internships called practice school to make us industry ready after the second year summer for 2 months and one semester in the 4th or 5th year placements start since 7th semester itself were most get offers in PPO thright the internships. 248 companies visited along with 631 students placed the average is 2083000 and median is 1650000. 76 percent of students got placed highest was 80lpa. I plan to get a job

BITS Goa - One of India’s Premier Institutes

Placement Experience:

Students can sit for placements in their final year. Many companies visit the campus for hiring drives. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Atlassian, Rubrik, Uber etc. These are some of the biggest IT names in the industry. There are companies that come for corre recruitment too. The highest and average packages are kept confidential. But if rumours are to be trusted, the highest package domestic is around 80lpa Atlassian whereas the average is around 24L for IT and 17L overall. More than 90% of the batch gets placed usually. I plan to work in the IT industry for a while. After that, I plan to go for Masters's's in Business Administration. It is all a plan for now, nothing is set in stone.

Admission:

A student needs to qualify the entrance exam of CSIR or UGC NET JRF and also a person is having basic qualifications with sufficient training of 2-3 months is necessary. Then one can apply for the application online. I fitted in the first one, so I got selected for the interview round which happens only once in a year. Luckily I cleared that also and got an admission in the institute.

BITS Pilani, It's magic

Remarks:

You love your life here and you're surely gonna miss it after the end of your course here. A downside here is the sex ratio which is there in any other engineering college of India. A upside is that there is no reservation here.

For the admission to the MSc Biotechnology program, I appeared in the Combined entrance examination conducted by the Jawahar Lal Nehru University (JNU) new Delhi. Based upon my score in the entrance test and my preferences for the course offered by Goa university, I got admission. I scored fairly well, I was the topper in my goa university batch (I could not know what score other 180 selected students got ).

After coming to BITS Pilani, Goa and spending some time over here, I can rarely speak anything bad about this campus. Everyone here is very helpful especially the seniors. The campus is so big and so well maintained that is is the place I am very happy to be at, just to give an example, our Cricket ground is maintained by BCCI, our campus has a tie-up with IEEE, TEDx, Google and any more.

Go BITS Goa, Gone!

Remarks:

BITS is one the top engg colleges in the country. It deveops the student as a whole. I already mentioned all the goods and the bads.One thing i would like to focus is regarsing our education system. Our system doesnt allow us to think logically and with our free mind. Our career decision are influenced by our parents and the amount of pay the career offers. Its only during our college life we finds our interests and passion. And sometimes its gets a little late.BITS although being the top engg. college, doesnt promote true knowledge and learning. Resulting in students to more worry about their grades than actually what they learned.
