Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus is not very fresh and updated but also not old. There are time to time workshops or seminars done, although not enough of industrial exposure is given. The faculties are good, mainly experts external faculties who work in their respective areas. The system is quite transparent, following the hierarchy. Apurva kulkarni/ prache khade /rucha gode mam are great.
Placement Experience
The students get to work under top companies and brands, there are students who started their own label. There is an internship provided by college in final year. Mostly all the students get offered with job in same companies. Mostly all students get placed. The placement department is best. They find out perfect internships for the students which are available. The alumni also helps in terms of job referrals. Ken ferns, karishma Shah Sahni are two of the well known alumni, working for major clients.
College Events
The college provides stage for fashion shows, graduation show, inspiro - the college fest navratri, onam, art competitions, youth fest, University sports tournaments and many more. They're medium in size, not huge. Multiple colleges can take part in the fests. Multiple colleges can take part in tournaments and university fests.
Campus Life
There is best and largest library amongst all the fashion institutes of India. The labs are well equipped with latest machineries and processes that a fashion institute requires. There is no overall WiFi, but computer labs have Internet access. Infrastructure is fine, there are few sports facilities available in the college.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is amazingly well maintained. There are multiple options available for sharing, i.e. Twin, triple and four sharing. There are attached washrooms. We'll furnished. Great mess food, providing 3 meals,with proper hygiene and variety of dishes. There is water cooler, washing facilities, cleaning facilities, security facilities. Lift, gym, wifi. There are three matrons. The hostel timing is 7 am to 7.30 pm. Hostel fees inclusive of mess and cleaning is about 1 lakh 10 thousand per annum. The hostel facilities are on basis of the first come first served until all seats get filled.
