Remarks

The college has a very advanced and spacious infrastructure. It provides students with ample of space and is very environment friendly. The teaching staff of the college is very understanding and helpful with academics as well as other related stuff. Overall the college is good for academic purposes. The only obstacle would be the placement. The staff of KJCOEMR helps you with the entire admissions process and also gives scholarships for the 1st yr students.

Course Curriculum Overview

I was in the civil department and had 2 classrooms from 2nd year. The teaching staff was knowledgeable and helps students understand the concept and also guides them. The exams were conducted properly in a timely manner and were not that difficult to pass.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got a scholarship when I was in 1st yr based on my score in the 12th board. The fees for the general category student were 100000 during my time.

Campus Life

The campus is full of life and all annual fest are celebrated. Classrooms have a projector for easy learning. The library is also good with academic books available on all topics.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus.
