Remarks

Firstly the college was near,secondly it had a good campus, then later on teaching was good,the lecture notes were provided;which is not provided in most colleges. Each students are taken care of,specially the weak ones. Came to know all these from my seniors studying there.The college has started only 10 years back so it has abit inexperience has already established colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

Syllabus has many topics covered.mostly tough to score,it was revised three years back. One industrial visit is provided very year.other internship are allowed only in vacations. The faculties are good, with better patience, makes us understand properly, Prof. Thomas felix is one I recommend.

About 30 companies visits the college. For others options each students are taken to respective centers.the departmental placement rate is anout 96 percentage. There is club known as iedc which helps to develop ideas of students into products to sells,for being a Entrepreneur.

College conduct technical events named Tharagam,at odd semester. It will be two day event. The college also conducts arts and sports days which ensures full participation. Other than that the college conducts cultural programs like onam,Christmas, ethenic day.

College provides many scholarships mainly two, 1- maths scholarship ( students who scored 85 and above in +2 exam).only 15000 is the college fees for such students. 2.students who scored 15000 and below rank in keam exams has scholarships

Very good,neatly build,properly taken care of. The college consist of 5 blocks. In which A block is where there is office, management and other stuffs. B & C blocks are for classes.D & E blocks are labs.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was never interested in engineering. I passed KEAM entrance exam. So my parents forced me to become an engineer. Since I was interested, I thought food technology might be a good branch in engineering. So I got admission in KUFOS through allotment. The course is actually good . In the 1st year, you study basic engineering, 2nd year onwards food related courses are taught. If you are a student who only have the intention to study you will find this college easy to adjust. They provide all facilities to study. There is no particular frequency for a semester. Even though academic calender is there for each batch it is not followed properly. In this college the course may last upto 4.5 years. Due to this reason the students ask the management to cut shot semester breaks so that they won't loose 1 year.
