Remarks

There's no such reason. After my hsc results. Was waiting for the merit list to be announced. And finally, in the 3rd list, I found my name and without wasting any time I went and took admission at Somaiya College.

Course Curriculum Overview

I'm from CBZ Department but I like the zoology department is one of my favourites. Because the teaching staff is really good. Labs are well developed. We were taken to Sanjay Gandhi national park for the industrial visit.

Placement Experience

I don't know about this. I'm a cbz student so i don't have any idea regarding internships and placements. But I have friends who have attended the internships. So based on their experience, I'm saying this and I'm gonna rate the placements only because of my fire experience.

College Events

There are a lot of events such as Surbhi a cultural event, Asmita a Marathi event and many more. Singing, Dancing, standup, Monoact, fashion show, etc are the competition taking place. At least one celebrity is called as chief guest. And winners are given an award by the chief guest.

Campus Life

Our college has a huge campus. Labs and library are also well developed. There are 3 canteens and 1 mess. There is a chessboard ground to play chess. An amphitheatre is there for cultural practices. One Maggi house where students can enjoy varieties of Maggi. There's a football Court, cricket ground, badminton court, etc. A huge auditorium

Well worth the journey!

Course Curriculum Overview:

Parricularly the modules which focused on animal science & botany, the curriculum was built to learn from basics to the advance level towards research area of biology which impressed me alot. The focus on animal biology, statistics, cell biology & genetics, ecology & wildlife conservation, Immunology & biotechnology leads a foundation to successfully enter the real-world and apply this knowledge for better cause of humans as well as animals. As the therotical teaching method can differ from on-hand experience on field there is a need to improve the course curriculum around this issue. The learning period was designed perfectly in-course of the prepaption time between each test and it wasn't difficult if we are well prepared.

In univeral college from sem 6 students become eligible for campus placements, Name of the companies offered in placement is TATA TCS, Infotech , and etc. Highest package from our college is 10 LPA and average is 3.2 lacs per annum. 20% percent of students successfully get placed in the companies from our placement team. After getting degree i will prefer to study more with MCA two years of course and side by side business & developing webs and applications as this is my passion and motive. i will prefer business Now i am interested in python programming language and JAVA after this React JS, Node JS and PL / SQL + MONGO DB for backend programming which has no user interactions.

The Campus Story : the lands of horror.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
