Mohammad Hirani's Review On Atharva College Of Engineering, Mumbai

Firstly It is very near to my house,hardly 35 minutes it takes to travel. Then i heard about this college as it is ranked in top 20 private colleges in Mumbai, It has a great infrastructure which I googled first. Then the thing which I loved was: In this college there is no pressure of attendance.The teachers here are so friendly that they allows you to do some productive things by not attending the class.Attendance here is at low priority only if you are involved in doing something, if they found you just roaming & bunking the class they will shoot you at PTA meeting (parent's-teacher's meet).Teachers allows you to build projects by waiting with you even after the college timing.

Course syllabus alright.They also try to complete the syllabus but the syllabus from the Mumbai University is so vast that it is not possible for any college to complete it, but they try to do it by skipping chapters & giving the students as self-study. Industrial exposure is as high as the scale they literally try so much & arrange workshops/seminars for students in every month at least once or twice.They call industry persons to give us updated knowledge of the things going on in the market.Faculties here are superb as just I mentioned earlier.They literally put all their efforts behind students & support them in all manners.To name a few I can, There is Ramkrushna More sir in first year who teaches mechanics/engg. drawing,he seems to be a strict but he is so sweet atleast with me,he will take you to the staff room & help you with your doubts.There is Priti miss,she teaches in 2nd year & there are many faculties like these.

Company who visited college this year are : Accenture,TCS,Capgemini,INfosys,Seclore Technology,NSE IT, etc. Students placed in the mentioned companies are as respectively 95,42,15,3,1,7.The placement process is also good here, they directs students to grab every upcoming opportunites by giving us proper instructions,students in the 3rd year itself are involved in Training & placements groups to learn soft skills,get internships,etc.

There are a huge number of events/festivals held in the college like RHYTHM which is the annual event of the college in this event a few celebrities are also called. There is a event of every branch of the college like for Computer department there are various hackathons held over the year, likewise there are events for Electrical, EXTC, ETRX departments. There are also events for Hotel Management people.Ganesh Chaturthi is also celebrated every year in the college.There are numerous events occurring every year.

The campus of Atharva College is just too good to appreciate,if you visit there once you will be amazed at how the support staff maintains it.There are so many facilities available like the most which students loves is WI-FI, Yes you heard it right,there is free wifi all over the campus,then there is a swimming pool,2 vast libraries,2 lobbies to practice/do extra-circular activities,apple lab which is also known as i-lab, also there a thing which only ATHARVA College has all over mumbai,the latest KUKA robot, just search of it you will be like is it true? There is a big ground in phase-3 of the college where students are allowed to play anytime.There is a team of every sport be it the Cricket team, kabaddi team,football team,chess team,carrom team,volleyball team,etc.
