SUSHANT KUMAR's Review On C. V. Raman Global University, Bhubaneswar

Engineering was my dream since my school days and C.V. Raman College of Engineering was a place where my dream got fulfilled. This college has an excellent academic and placement record which made me join in 2015 as an electronics and telecommunication engineer. The college has excellent facilities due to which it comes under the top 100 engineering college under NIRF data ranking. CVRCE has NAAC Certified grade A, AICTE approved and also NBA accredited. The campus is 200 acres comprises of full of greenery which I liked most about college. All the professor in our department were well qualified and full of experience which made me an excellent engineer. The Labs in our department was full of modern equipment which made me learn things practically. Besides these colleges also has the centre of excellence in all department like (Robotics, VLSI, BOSCH)etc. I joined the college as an electronics and telecommunication engineer because my passion was to design chips for laptops, mobiles etc and I am happy that my dream was got fulfilled in college. Beside subject knowledge, I also Learnt to design Robot both manual and automated and also I learnt VLSI in the centre of excellence. In addition to excellent academics, the college also has a swimming pool, a central canteen, and a big library which has almost all the engineering books. College also provides one year business English training program certified by Cambridge(BEC).

The Course Curriculum was very well designed and were updated according to the latest requirement in the industry. The full course was divided into eight semester and basics subjects were taught earlier and then important subjects were taught in the subsequent semester which made students learn easily. The course was designed according to recent industries requirement which made a student land with a job very easily. All the professor in the electronics and telecommunication department were well qualified and full of experience. Professor P.Kavi taught us digital was having 15 years of experience and completed his Btech, Mtech and PhD from IIT Kanpur. The labs in our department were having all the latest tools and equipment which led students to learn subjects practically also. The students were also given training in the industry where they learnt to implement things practically. The teaching method of the professor was such that it made students learn things very easily. Students were enjoying their course and there was no pressure of course on them. All the professor were cooperative with the students. The training was provided to all students in Doordarshan whey they learnt how technical things are implemented practically in the real world. We all enjoyed our course in college.

The college provided a Pre Placement training program which made students land a job easily. Interview training and GD training was also provided by the college. Some of the companies who visited college are BOSCH, Voltas, TCS, Capgemini, Wipro, Cognizant, IBM, Tata technologies, BLEP etc.

The four year campus life college was memorable to me. The campus in 200 acres is full of greenery which attracts most in college. Besides academics, many big events are organised in college including technical, cultural, and sports events. The Cultural festival which is known as Celegance is organised every year in college. The two days cultural festival has many events in which students participate. The cash prizes are awarded to students who perform well in events. Dead pool, Swimming competition, fear factor etc are some of the events which are organised in Cultural fest. The second day of cultural fest comprises of DJ night in which student dances and enjoys. College also organises a Technical fest every year which comprises many small technical events in which students take part and wins cash prizes. Events in technical fest comprise of robotics competition, Vlsi competition, coding challenge etc. The students who perform well are awarded cash prizes and a college certificate. Besides Cultural and Technical event college also organises Sports events every year. Sports events comprise of various sports competition in which student takes part and wins cash prizes and sports certificate. Cricket, badminton, chess etc are some of the sports events which are organised under Sports fest in college. The college also organises inter college cricket tournament, volleyball competition, Hostel premier league etc every year.
