Remarks

This college is one of the best colleges in West Bengal for girls. This college is strict regarding academics and provides quality education. The professors are all very friendly and there's a homely environment all around. It has a beautiful premise with greenery. There are all facilities available as the students need like libraries, canteens, playground, gym, etc. The only bad aspect I came across is it has a few festivals but a number of holidays are more than enough. This year the fest got canceller which is a little boring for all but the hostel is another beautiful place to enjoy to the fullest. Admission takes place after the results of 12th are all out and the whole process is online. Students have to attain the verification process offline for taking in admission. Overall this college provides every opportunity that a student require.

This college has excellent professors and the number is quite huge. Most of them have a good educational background. The exams are taken on a regular basis to keep a revision. Also, homework is provided just like school. But in no sense students are pressurized.

My plan is to give entrance exams like jak, jest, tifr. Mainly my motive is to pursue msc in iit or iisc.

For bsc hons(3 year course) :13, 047. For msc(2 year) :68, 634. For ba hons(3 year) :10, 527. There are various scholarships to apply for. The college has a fund which provides scholarship and there are campuses to provide jobs too.

Campus Life

Kaleidoscope is the annual fest held. Many festivals like Saraswati puja, Basanta Utsav, teacher's day, etc are held. There are 3 libraries with digital facilities where students can hunt for their desired books. There are different clubs beholding different duties. Few classrooms have smartboards, ac.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is the best of all since it gave me a different way to live life. Meals are provided in the morning, evening, night and quality aren't too bad. The rooms are big enough and airy. There is a gym, a beautiful garden. No trace of ragging and seniors are extremely friendly. For hostel admission, students need to fill a form during college admission. Then an online list will come in the college website after that the student has to go to the superintendent for the admission process.

1) I applied for Presidency University, Ashutosh College, Scottish Church College but I took admission at Lady Brabourne College because of its faculty and environment. The teachers of the college are very helpful in all aspects i.e. not only studies but also other problems. 2) I did not avail any quota for admission because the admission is purely based on merit. 3) The admission criteria are totally based on merit and without any entrance examination. Minimum qualification for B.Sc. Microbiology is minimum of 60% marks in 10+2 with a combination of science for general, 55% for OBC category, and 50% for SC/ST category. 4) On the counseling day, as the number of seats was limited to 30, so they made a list according to the marks received and called the names of the students who got admitted.
