Remarks

Admission procedure was quite simple, as it was totally based on my CBSE Board exam performance in PCM, that is physics, chemistry and maths. Good aspects of the college: the football turf, library, some of the labs are air-conditioned, and also the basic workshop, helpful faculty. Bad aspects of the college: Canteen needs to improve, some of the faculty needs to change their teaching method. No such specific reason to choose this college over others as every college has some of its own good or bad aspects and so depends upon your way deal with it. Also that Terna Engineering College is Mumbai University affiliated which makes it easier for the student to get previous papers and syllabus for the particular subject.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I opted for computer engineering because I'm interested in technology and its various aspects such as programming and software development. The faculty is helpful, and the faculty: student ratio is totally acceptable as most the faculty is friendly with the students. Faculty is well qualified and but some of them need to change their way of teaching, other than that the faculty is okay. Term exams were easy to pass, but you got to be clear with your basics and concepts related to that particular subject, or else it might be difficult for you to clear.

Fees and Financial Aid

It is quite feasible and to be honest engineering course itself is expensive. The NRI fees and management quota is more expensive than the normal fees. The college accepts DD (demand draft) for most of its payment purposes.

Campus Life

3.5

The Annual fests are conducted every year and they are mostly conducted in the month of March. When it comes to the availability of books and journals, the library lacks a few important books, other than that they have most of the reference books in stock and you got to get them as per your department day mentioned in front of the book issue counter. Classrooms are spacious enough and every class has a good seating arrangement. Sports and extracurricular activities are being conducted every year during fests and sports meet, the students got to enrol themselves for the particular sport they play.

Placement Experience:

The students can apply for placements from the 6th semester, but they have to complete the whole 8 semester to start working. Companies like L&T, HCC, J Kumar, TATA Projects are our major recruiters, many MNCs and other top company like to hire from NICMAR. The college has genuine 100% placement, the students who generally do not get placed are ones who have family business or startups. After completing the degree and mostly interested in a job for the 1 to 2 years to gain some experience. Then I may consider options like higher studies or a business.
