Remarks

Good, we have a long way to go. We were recently declared as the 16th best Law college in the country via NIRF.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

It is good. It's very hectic and highly work Oriented. One area in which the university could do better would be to increase the practical approach they have in studies. That is perhaps a problem with educational institutions all accorss the country.

Placement Experience

3.5

It is a developing college, thus, the placements are getting better ober time. Everyone is into internships but its mostly arranged on a personal level.

College Events

4

Various cultural fests, seminars, event celebrations. The annual fest is a cultural one named ADUJ. It is an inter college completion which is open to all the outside students. The fest has an enormous amount of competitions, ranging from everything to MUNs and singing competitions.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is pretty high which would not be feasible for most of the people. Being a government college, its very unusual to have a fees like that. The total fees amounts to somewhat nearly 2 lakhs every year. There is transparency in the fee breakdown.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't opted for one. I don't have knowledge of any such direct scholarship schemes that might be available.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is nice. There is a lot of diversity since its a national university. People from all around the country come to study here. Gender ratio is mostly balanced. There are plenty debating events and other such oratory and research based events.

Hostel Facilities

3

Yes, hostels are alright. The one minus point is that they only have shared bathrooms. That is one huge problem for most of the people. The rooms aren't Air conditioned, unlike the rest of the college.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumnus base for NLU is still developing as its a relatively new college. Most of our alumnus base has started to do amazingly well.

Admission

A National test named CLAT is held which makes you eligible for the National Law universities all across India. The higher marks you get, the chances of getting into a better NLU increases. The reason why I sought to join an NLU is because of the prestige attached to it. Moreover it was in my hometown thus it would be more convenient.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty of the college is something that is highly essential. Although, almost like every educational institution, there are professors who are brilliant in their fields and exceptionally well teachers. However, there are also some who you can't really understand or have a hard time coping with. Its a mixed bag.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The ULC, GU being one of the premier law colleges in the North Ease of India, I chose this college because of the course structure which prepares students to make a law career for themselves along with the faculty from various esteemed colleges of India which includes the likes of University of Goa, Government Law College, Gauhati etc. The college helps students seek internships with various legal professsionals which prepares the students not only accademically but also the face the practical legal world after college. The courese need no specific improvement but the availibility of a placement cell would had been a great addition to thish college. The exams are conducted half yearly which rigorously tests the students legal knowledge in every aspect.
