Very Nice College

In the present days, where most College are out there to snatch maximum possible money from the pockets of students' parents, Regent definitely stands out of the way without compromising education quality.

College has not much to do with Course Curriculum as its decided by Education Board. But role of the college in imparting the same is fair enough. Fees structure is also decent enough in comparison to other colleges having the same course under the same syllabus.

The College didn't have any tie ups with big IT firms, but it did arranged for various in house as well as pool campus placement.

There were internal programs within the college. There was one Big Concert type cultural festival where many of the students participated and professional music band was also invited. There were cricket matches with other colleges. But the college being new that time, number of events were not very much.

Fee Structure was very feasible as well as certain discounts also available for students securing good ranks in entrance while entering the college. Fee per sem was 36000 but I got scholarship and paid 30500 per sem. The fee is very decent compared to what other colleges were charging.

I got 15% scholarship on the semester fee which brought down the amount from 36000 to 30500 INR. Secondly my father was a bank employee and he arranged an education loan for me. I had to submit Bonafide Certificate from a college to Bank every semester.

Gender ratios and Campus life was really decent. There were many students from Kolkata and some of the students who were from distant places stayed in the hostel. Labs were perfectly equipped with adequate computers and with essential applications and softwares.

There was hostel facility just besides the main College building but my home being not so far, I didn't opted for hostel facility. But as far I can remember, the rates were decent enough. Some of my friends were availing the facility.

Generally they are helpful and keep in touch. But after 3/4 years we slowly got busy in personal and professional life which eventually led to detachment from College matters.

Qualified in JECA exam in 2011, got rank around 1081, attended the counseling session. Selected the college from list of available colleges. Later visited the college and paid them admission fees along with other charges. After commencement of class paid registration fees.

Faculty very good, helpful and experienced. There was 4 Full Time lecturers, 1 Part Time Lecturer and 1 Lab assistant back in my college days. Each lecturer was more than able for multiple subjects. They also helped a lot during practical classes and were available over the phone on holidays too.
