Entrance Preview

GATE exam for entrance into MTech course. I have opted for VLSI design as my MTech discipline as i did BTech in ECE. I have got 97% in GATE score.

Internships Opportunities

When we were there at 2008 ther is no internship option for MTech students. As we qualified GATE and we are eligile to get stipend from MHRD, India. it wa 5000/- per month at that time

As it is IIIT almost all people will get placed in one or the other company. at that time only few companies were coming and very few for VLSI students.

College Events

Tech fests and cultural fest happen once in a year. There paper invtation there for all the cooleges in and around gwalior. TECH FEST is the annual program for all research and achievemets to show case students efforts

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its feasible and affordable by our stipend for MTech students. including hostel fee, food, college it is 22K for semester. For BTech guys it is some here around 25K per semester.

I think loans are available for UG stuedents. we didnt get any facility as such as we are getting stipend form MHRD

Everything is too good. facilitie wise labs are good, internet spped is good. we have all labs and facitilies 24/7 accesible. As the campus is huge we have lot of sports activities and grounds for cricket, foodball and badminton etc.

Hostel Facilities

As it is a national level college we have separate hostles for PG and UG guys. Girls have a common hostle for PG and UG students. Mess food quality is average.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Students, lecturers, professors and alumni is very well connected and we have regular alumni meets across India for further growth and strengthen campus and industry relations.

Exam Structure

Exams and lab exams are done on a weekly basis. Mid exams and exams in between semesters are there to keep you busy.

An overall review of ABV-IIITM from a masters student

Course Curriculum Overview:

The IT course here offers 2 tracks or specializations, one is in "smart mobility systems engineering" and the other is "intelligent information systems engineering". The former covers cryptography and cyber security aspect and the later is a bit more AI/ML focused. The curriculum helps students understand how verious ML algos. work and why do they work.

Placement Experience:

The placement starts coming at the end of 6th sem or beginning of 7th. You can expect around 15-20 companies to visit. Recently there have been visits by carwale, quantiphi, cognizant, Cape Gemini, Infosys, Kfintech, TCS. All of them had their packages in the range 6-8 lpa. Highest packages reach around 20LPA for a handful of students as one of a good company might visit Like Intuit, Zscaler, Deustche Bank While obviously some students crack off camps and recieve even better options 60-70 percentage of students can get placed here My plans are doing Masters incase I don't get a good enough job.

In 7 or 8 semesters students was allowed to sit in placemnet. Studnets are placed in company got joinning in short perioud of time abd they also provide offer letter to them. my rank in jee mains was 18600 in which i didnt get any good branch (cs it) in good nit or iiit in JOSAA. Then in CSAB 1st round i got iiit jabalpur ece and in 2nd round i got iiitm gwalior it+mba). Well equipped infrastructure and decent placements

The other colleges that I applied to were: IIIT Lucknow in which i was getting B.Tech in computer science and some private colleges.
