Remarks

Everything is fine but it doesn't offer much scope to research.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum will not be much different than any other colleges. We generally have 3-4 of hours pf lecture per week depending on the subject. Exams will be conducted and continuous evaluation takes place. Marks will be awarded based on Continuous Evaluation as well as exams conducted. There will be exams for 30 and 50 marks each and the rest are graded through continuous evaluation

Placement Experience

4.5

Our college ranks 2nd among all NITs after placement. But myself I rank it as the 1st. For most of the branches placements are pretty decent. CSE witnesses the highest placements every year followed by other circuit branches ECE, EEE.

College Events

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee Structure is very feasible and it is often decided by the MHRD only. Our college gas has no right to decide the fee on its own. But tution fee is 62500 per semester and I feel that isn't bad though. Hostel fee and mess fee aren't hiked at all. The only thing you will suffer for is your pocket money (xD)

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I didn't opt for any loan. College offers scholarship for students merit based and financial aid is also provided by the Government.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is like learning about how to deal with life. You not only study but you will definitely party hard. We have around 15+ clubs that help you refresh besides the academic pressure. Music Club, Dance and Dramatics and many other noted clubs are there. Robotics club was last year's initiative.

Hostel Facilities

4

Yes. Rooms were good. First year, second year students were allotted rooms on sharing basis From third year onwards single rooms will be allotted. PG students also have onboarding facilities in the campus and hardly no one stays outside

Alumni/Alumna

We have a strong alumni base and they are highly responsive. Notable Alumni like JD Lakshmi Narayana (IAS) there are many.

Admission

Admission into the college was based on the rank obtained in JEE-Main. A candidate is expected to score decent marks in JEE-Main to obtain a good rank and then he can appear for the counselling rounds. I have chosen EEE here at NITW. Academics, Placements were the main factors that bothered me while choosing the college. Our college has an excellent placement record which makes our college a dream college for most students in India.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of college used to be great earlier. But now I feel that it wasn't upto the mark. But it was not that bad though. Anyone can cope up with them and mostly there will be self learning so that won't matter us a lot. So overall faculty is not really bad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is good as of now. But can change a little bit becuase in 4 years we will have 8 sems and 40 subjects. Subjects should be divided in such a way that it should not get burden on the students. In some sems they will just 4 or 3 subjects that will effect other sems by having 7or 8 subjects at a time. That is really tough to clear all subjects at a time that may leave pressure on the students. And another suggestion in teaching methods was therotical class and practical class has to be done parallelly because if theory classes of particular topic has been completed in this week and pratical classes of that particular topic will be executed in some other week lab sessions. That may create confusion in students and there might get forgot what they have learnt in that week. If the theory and practical classes happened parallely they will gain hands on experience on how the things will work and they can understand more better.
