Course Curriculum Overview

4

This specialization provides you an entry into the world of telecom and electronic devices wherein you acquire knowledge about how an antenna is built, how a mobile network functions, how do routers work and many more questions. As far as jobs are concerned there are plenty of Telcos waiting for quality EXTC engineers to be the fore runners of the new technologies emerging in the sector. Various Telecom organizations provide opportunities ranging right from field jobs to in office jobs where you work at a level above network operators. The work majorly involves resolving network issues under crunching timelines to prevent business loss for the client.

Placement Experience

4

Yes I've done internship in my third year of electronic and telecommunications engineering course in tata institute of fundamental research for period of 1 month.

College Events

5

There are some annual events like Rhythm, Ember, Techithon, IEEE, E-Week etc. Annual events are related to technical skills plus management skills as well as artistic skills. Campus crowd is mostly from South and mid Bombay. Connectivity is pretty good 20 minutes from Malad station by bus.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Comparibly it was feasible than other colleges And affordable for an general category students. If you belong to any specific backward caste there were very low fees for them comparibly than other open students And that's the scenario in every college you'll go in india except IIT's.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes I've opted for tata trusts scholarship and I've also got my 50 percent of the fees refund through that scheme. Yes if you are an general category student and has a good academic record you can approach such trusts.

Campus Life

4

Gender ratios were almost equal. There is nothing like racism and gender diversity, all the students are open minded and follows good manners. No politics, no religion base categorisation. There are inter nation conferences. IEEE seminars. fests, workshops etc. Other casual activities involve parties dj nights proms. Crowd is mature and forward minded. There are committees specially for well being of people and country like NSS.

Hostel Facilities

5

In case of hostels, write about hostels rooms, if its sharing, in case hostel seats are few, write about PG’s the average rentals which need to be paid in that case. No I didn't opt any of the above as College was in my city. I use to travel daily.

Alumni/Alumna

They were always willing to lend a hand, be it regarding academics or extracurricular activities. Seniors play the dual role of a friend and a mentor. They are the people who have been in your very shoes before you, therefore can empathize with your conundrums. They counsel you on what to study, how to study, projects to take up, internship opportunities, higher studies, and plain old personal problems amongst other things. They are an invaluable inventory of relevant information.

Admission

University of Mumbai admission process begins in the last week of May with the release of its UG admission form on the official website of the University. Seats available in a majority of the programmes are allocated based on the marks scored by the candidates in the last qualifying examination or a national/state/University/affiliated institute-level entrance exam. Candidates seeking admission must apply online.

Faculty

4

Teachers are helpful, qualified and also knowledgeable at the same time. When it comes to teaching quality they all are very good. It makes students industry ready. They also conduct sessions on how to prepare for interview and soft skills before you appear for the company interview.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources
