Remarks

They are running the college in a better way but my suggestion. don't just increase the role of college but produce good capable engineerings.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

It was just a theoretical approach in our college just to pass the semester, no practical knowledge was given. this is reason we are still jobless. there was no industry visit nor any placement cell. so that students get attached to some sort of job.

Placement Experience

1

There was no placement cell in our college. I never saw any company visiting our college. we were always kept aside.

College Events

1

None of the technical events were celebrated in our college. we were not provided sufficient knowledge about subject. it was just passing the semester and achieving the degree. We are jobless and not capable engineerings we lack confidence and practical knowledge.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasable. yes there was no compulsion on fee structure. it was affordable as compared to colleges outside jammu and Kashmir. But some dues were additional like deoartmental fee. library fee and all that which was hectic job for students as most of us were not able to pay the same.

Fees and Financial Aid

I applied for scholarships many times but I didn't get as my merit was low. my application for scholarships was rejected.

Campus Life

2.5

Nothing like that in our college. we used to play ourselves some time. the life in campus was awesome as it was friendly environment and no one was there to ask a question about roaming here and there. just everyone was contect with his work. and we were free.

Hostel Facilities

1

No because I used to travel daily as college is just 20 kms away from my home and we were provided with bus to all routes and we can easily asses that and can reach the college in time. I never stayed in hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

No. I haven't seen any one. some of them are at good posts but never visit a college to cherish and inspire the students.

Admission

By qualifying entrance exam that is cet (common entrance test ) I got selected in civil engineering and I joined the same in year 2011. enginering is my passion from my childhood. I was keen to get admitted in engineering and I did same by qualifying the cet.

Faculty

1.5

15 facualty members were there some where capable and some where not. there qualification was m. tech or b. tech. some experienced teachers were present but they all were busy in eaeing money and we were kept with out good skills and knowledge that is reason behind being our jobless.

Placement Experience:

The Placements opportunities are fair as they placement is not good. The average placement is 5 l.p.a which is very low. So you have to prepare for off campus placement. The College is slightly cut off from the top companies and they are not visiting our college from covide period. Thus placement is at not good track.

Students become eligible for campus placements in 8th semester. Companies like L&T construction, Ambuja cement, tata , wipro, jio , Berger, infosys, IBM and many more visit the college. Highest package is around 17 LPA and average package is around 5 LPA . Almost 30 percent students get placement. My plan is to get off campus placement.

The IIT Jammu curriculum blends strong theoretical foundations with practical learning, offering flexibility via electives and research opportunities. It prepares students well for industry and academia. Improvements could include more industry workshops and interactive teaching. Exams are moderately challenging.

The placement of our college is Average and the students are eligible in 7 semester for placement. If the student has any backlog in any of the semester they can't sit in the college placement and also it has minimum criteria of 6.5 cgpa. The percentage of students getting placement is very low sadly

Palcements in college are below average . If you want to get the on campus placement you need to be very good in the skills and different from others. if not placed you can try to get off campus placement also or can give any other exams like upsc, ssc, gate etc.
