Remarks

College Management and administration is pathetic. They're extremely casual about work and all work is delayed. Entire management is extremely arrogant if tone changes.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Not actually, can't blame the college for curriculum. it's decided by The University of Mumbai. Portion being outdated, there's nothing anyone can do. All colleges affiliated to University of Mumbai are supposed to follow the rules set by them. Apart from this, at college level, There are many extra curricular activities to do, but that won't make you a good engineer. Technical activities and internships are not taken care of by the college. After graduating, the student only has a degree and no corporate experience.

Placement Experience

1.5

Internships aren't provided by the college but they have few lectures to get you clear the interview. ie- GD, IQ, and other activities. Companies like MTNL, Vsnl, and small startups. Students have to rely on off campus pool interviews. College has poor placement record. Only few get through campus interview with an average salary of 3LPA.

College Events

3.5

Events celebrated are some technical events, cultural events and social events. Rythms: Cultural event vectors: Technical event, NSS: Social event Sports competitions like football, cricket, Basketball, kabaddi, kho kho, inter college and intra college competition.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's expensive as far the college is considered. Paying hefty amount of fees for nothing but a degree is not worth it. If the college were good, then there's no problem for paying 1,00,000 per year. Modes of payment: DD, Cheque, Online payments. There is transparency in fee breakdown. No additional fee is required for securing admission.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are given by private companies, Govt and NGO's who meet few criterias. 1.Student must have annual income less than 800000. 2. Student must belong to backward caste. 3. Few girl child scholarships are there too by the government.

Campus Life

2.5

Gender ratio is probably 7:3. Official Industrial visits are done except for Computers Department. There is no discrimination against gender or any other factor. Students are united in every situation keeping all backgrounds aside. Politics does exist in the committees for promotions.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

There is no hostel provided by the college. Students who stay far away have to rent a flat nearby to meet the requirements. All the other colleges in the vicinity have hostels but this college doesn't.

Alumni/Alumna

There's no alumni contact. They have alumni meet in the college. but students don't have contact with alimni. Seniors are helpful always. They guide you for academics and are friendly.

Admission

I got admission in this college through merit list in 2018. Admission process started in May 2018 and I got admitted by June 2018. I had no choice but to accept the college from the merit list. After accepting the college, I had to report to college for confirmation and fee payment for that year. All my original legal documents were to be submitted for security. In july, the academic year started.

Faculty

3.5

There are around 10-15 lecturers for a department. Their Average age is 40-55. Positions are assigned according to knowledge and industry experience. Teaching quality is above average for few faculties and below for few. Industry based certifications are arranged, but they're not standard. These companies that college brings in are not certified themselves. So its a waste of money.

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
