My Experience at SVIT

I have completed my BE in Mechanical Engineering from this institution. During my time in SVIT, I am very thankful for all of the amazing teachers and all of the top-notch facilities provided to us. Be it the state of the art laboratories or the ever so approachable staff. SVIT has given me the platform to showcase my talents outside of academia thanks to the emphasis on the extracurricular activities that this institution stresses upon. Being a part of various student chapters like Ishrae and SAE I can proudly say that SVIT has left no stone unturned when it comes to providing its students with the complete academic experience to excel in our professional careers. Being one of the very few female students in the department of Mechanical engineering has been a very smooth sailing experience thanks to the team of dedicated and committed faculty who ensured that I had a safe & productive environment. Overall I can say that SVIT has moulded me into a complete and thoroughly professional.

I chose Mechanical Engineering as my stream of study because I have always been fascinated by machines of all kinds. At SVIT the teacher to student ratio is very high and all of the faculty members are either holding a master's or a PhD degree and are well qualified to handle any subject with utmost care. Each faculty member has a unique method of teaching which will help in maximum retention of knowledge. They also provide handwritten or well-typed notes to ensure that all students have the necessary material to ace their finals. The internals is conducted in a timely fashion and is designed to help students with their final exams.

Campus placement cell offers thorough training to all the eligible students and helps them with placements. Multiple top tier companies conduct interviews here and offer attractive packages to all eligible students.

The cost to study here is slightly lower than the standard fees that are collected by the engineering colleges in Karnataka. Here, the emphasis is given to the overall academic development of the student along with an emphasis on extracurricular activities. They also offer scholarships and financial assistance to needy students. The placement cell is very active here and most students who were a part of the cell walked out of here with attractive job offers.

Here we have two annual fests. One is the cultural fest by name of Sanchalana and the other fest is a technical fest name Tech Vidya. SVIT has a very well equipped library with access to tons of books, journals and papers. Classrooms are well equipped with projectors. The sports activities here are very vast and some of the games include cricket, kabaddi, volleyball, throwball, basketball and football among others. Students have various interdisciplinary clubs with an emphasis on academia as well as social welfare.
