I was always afraid to showcase my inhibitions in front of the world, IIPR not only made me confident but also polished my skills and talent in the sector of agriculture. I got my research work done and approved by professionals. The amazing faculty with the facilities provided makes every student proud to be the part of this college.

The vast curriculum of the college provides lectures from the renowned scientists and lecturers. The technological background is stronger than the overall general layout. Practical approach is provided in every subject and let us practise our learning. Apart from the general faculty many guest lectures from noble backgrounds come and give us speeches. Overall 7 disciplines are taught in the 6 month course; plant biotechnology, plant physiology, plant breeding and genetics, microbiology, plant pathology, agronomy and agricultural extension.

After the completion of the course the college conducts interviews and students get selected for the jobs from the multinational research companies. The international companies from abroad also come and take the interviews. The practical tasks performed in the span of the course, catalysis the scope of job. You can also apply in the Government Agricultural Sector for more research and government job.

IIPR holds annual fest and all the cultural festivals to signify its diversity. Everyone celebrates festivals, no matter which religion it is. The unison is shown with people performing their talents and making the fest more entertaining. Same is for the annual fest, which symbolises our college, it’s secularism and talent.

The amount of opportunity and exposure provided by the college is totally feasible. For the 6 months course the fees is ?30,000 inclusive of every other fee without hostel and with hostel ?45,000/- (Tuition, furniture, facilities and commodities usage etc). The staff provided with the experience and skills makes up for the 6 months.

Many sports are played in the college playground including cricket, basketball, volleyball and badminton. The ground makes every student interact with one another and socialise better. We organise self matches and play together. The labs are well furnished too, giving the scope of practising practical work properly. Models and tools are provided within the laboratories with elaborative charts and tables.

The college has two separate buildings for boys and girls named as Girls hostel and Boys hostel. The warden and the security are very helpful and strictly obey the norms of the hostel. The mess has discipled timings for serving food. The meals are healthy and tasty. Hostel fees are ?10,500/- annually with all the basic needs. The infrastructure is well constructed and maintained.

Alumni meets happen once in a year, the board makes sure they interact with the students and share their experiences in the field of agriculture. Ex students are very helpful and guide like a mentor to us. They share their wisdom and makes us more motivated. I personally am under the guidance of one alumni.

I applied for the Students Training Programme, which is a 6 months duration course. The examinations are conducted by ICAR, to apply for the examinations you need to go to the official website and apply online for the same. After the examination result, I got my name in the first list which led to the counselling session conducted by the college. After the admission, the formalities were to be done in the college where I needed to submit the verification documents and pay the fees. The application form is for ?50/- which you may pay through demand draft or IPO (Indian Postal Order).

The faculty is well experienced and educated. They all hold a unique way to interact with students. Notes are properly provided with the related articles and searches through mails or YouTube links. The inspiring staff enables every student to research their concerned topic and let them grow in our horizon. College often conducts guest lectures which are equally inspiring.
