Government Engineering College, Palanpur was established in 2009, with an objective of imparting higher education in the field of engineering and technology. This institute is recognized by All India Council of Technical Education [AICTE], New Delhi. In April, 2013 the college was shifted at its new campus near Jagana village which 05 km from Palanpur city. The first batch of Engineering has passed out in the year 2013.

- Mission of the college is “To make the students to be better technocrats and professionals with quality, meeting their needs in the area of technical studies and providing better learning opportunities to develop skill for creating a better tomorrow”
- College is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University, Ahmadabad
- IGNITE (Individual’s Growth & Nourishment (through) Integrated Technical Education) and seven strand activities, which include Academics, Research and Entrepreneurship, Hospitality and Mess, Training and Placement, have been started.
