Deepak Kumar's Review On Green Hills Engineering College, Solan

At last I only would like to say that It was a great experience there and now missing my college days.

I took AIEEE 2011. This was the best among all engineering colleges in Himchal Pradesh and very near to place so I don't have to leave the home for college.

I've learned basic engineering subjects during the first year of my studies and after that I've started learning core subjects related to my field of studies.

No stipend was offered during internship but the companies gave us a great practical knowledge. Companies like TATA,CMC and various Govt Industries offered internship.

It was about average placement. 40 out of my 65 classmates were placed in college campus placements. Companies like MAXX,Base Corporations,CMC with a minimum package of 6 Lac visited our college.

We've many college events like Engineering's Day celebration,Teacher's Day celebration and ofcourse the big one TechFest a three day technical and cultural events festival.

The fee structure is quite more than average I think. It can be reduced up to some extend and must be reduced. College should focus more on quality of education.

College keep on informing students about various offfers of scholarships through notices and announcements. Though they are not directly involved in it.

Hostel parties were full of enjoyment and about of fun and masti only. Workshops made us tired usually but packed with practical knowledge. We were haveing lots of competitions at college as well as university level.

Hostel rooms were quite comfortable and in ok conditions. The mess food was quite tasty but not daily. It was miracle that can happen twice or thrice in a month.

Seniors and alumni always helped us to know which faculty is easy to handle and which is not. What can be done in a classroom and what are the different punishments for different activities.

It was neither very hectic nor a chilled out. Labs sometimes had a chilled out type environment but exams had never.

It was well experienced,professional and very helpful. Supports me during my projects and various activities I've taken part during college time.
