Course Curriculum Overview

Course has all needed subjects required to get essential information to be a wood technology expert. Like handling seeds, knowing about the fibres of various trees, preservation methodologies are covered in the curriculum.

Placement Experience

This institute offers great service in placing their students in various organizations working on environmental science and forest research and development. Many of our seniors have been selected by government and other research institutions involved in forest preservation.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees for the B. Tech course is very nominal and this one of the best college which teaches the discipline of wood related studies. Separate hostels for boys and girls are available with canteen facilities for which the fees has to be paid monthly.

Campus Life

Our college conducts periodic seminars and guests speeches for giving their guidance related to the wood technology and preservation techniques. Sports activities are regular in our campus. Separate anti ragging department deals with all issues related to ragging and women welfare.

Admission

The students should fill the application form and submit to the admission officer. On shortlisting, candidates will be notified for a scheduled interview. On clearing the interview, admission to this course is offered.

The institute has best in class professors from top institutions and government agencies who were part of forest department and preservation programs during their duration of work. They have very good insight of the methods and techniques to be used for preserving different types of woods.

The Reality of Studying Here

Placement Experience:

from 6th Sem u are eligible to sit for the placement. A lot of companies come to the college i don't focus on company name my focus will be on the CTC and average is 4-5LPA and the highest package was 20LPA. but very less student get placed because they don't have proper technical skill and the one who have skills they are placed in our college. before getting a Degree i need a job from Campus Placement this is my plan after getting Degree let's see I haven't made any plans right now.

Top companies that visited NITK: Microsoft,Google,Amazon,Adobe,Goldman sachs,Uber,Oracle,Morgan stanley,Samsung R and D ,TCS,Infosys,Dell,bajaj auto,Reliance etc. overall 190-220+ companies visited campus . Best Kept Secret

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum for this year is the updated one. Its 2025 Scheme for the students. The curriculum is well designed according to the needs of CSE students for real life coding. The curriculum contains all required and updated topics which students from CSE background require to develop excellent skills for jobs and startups. There should be only one internal exam instead of two. Because, two internal exams tend to keep them involved more into college exams leaving very less time to build their extra skills. Thus there should be only one internal exam so that students can build their extra skills.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placement from 7th sem. A lot of companies visit the campus,around 300 companies visit and around 1200 offers are made. The big ones are oracle, natwest, ring central,visa. The highest package is around 35 lpa, the average is around 10 lpa. Around 65% students do get placed. My plans are to get a good job after this degree.
